neogrant 4 Posted May 27, 2010 Hello to the cncnz community! I’d thought I get to know all of you a lot better, and expand out to other forums rather than sticking to the strike-team forums. Just so you know a little about me and what I do, I’m currently 19, a University Student in London studying BA Computer Games Design. I love anything to do with making websites, helping players get onto the XWIS servers, making fun tournaments and playing the classic ra2/yr. I’m in the process of saving the ‘North America Sudden Attack’ (a Free FPS) with an Anti Hack League. Officially sponsored by the makers themselves. You can take a look at that one here, the website its self is still work in progress tho http://www.suddenleague.com Next, is CNCTube.com. This site acts and works just like YouTube but it only hosts Command & Conquer related videos. You can register for you own account to upload and share your Command & Conquer videos with everyone else. We have been heavily backed from the CNC community sites from the beginning, which I would like to thank now! For only being open for just under a month we have received a lot of support. Thank you to cncnz.com, cncworld.org,ppmsite.com, the official facebook for command and conquer, timeofwar.com, and planetcnc.gamespy.com for posting about us! Just recently, gamereplays.org have found us and started to use us for their vod’s, embedding our player into their posts. We have no video limits on size or length, so they don't have to cut up their videos into different parts. Methuselah, the global administrator at gamereplays gave us a generous shout out into all of their c&c discussion forums. Away from this I used to manage a gaming site; Villain Gaming. I worked my way up from just starting at an Invision free forum, playing around, gathering a little community, and started to make tournaments. Soon, I went onto bigger things but didn’t really know how to expand out of the RA2/YR gaming scene so I kept with the small community of 800 members until the site finally died. I loved it too much to ditch the community. Soon after, I changed the site direction into; a pure tournament site, livestream, and finally after all of those going into a similar coma, I turned it into a latest gaming news site. I had developed a wide experience of managing content with CMS, editing html or php. I had created four articles whilst I had turned it into a gaming news site, and had brought in 3000 unique views each, by submitting them to N4G, the gaming news website. http://www.n4g.com/up/100311/submissions.aspx Soon after I wanted to make the 5th article, but I think the database gave up on me piling it up with different cms’s such as wordpress,joomla , and other random forum upgrades. Maybe it was a little too much for it Right now, I’m a volunteer like everyone at Strike-Team, the official forum for the XWIS Servers (sponsored by EA). We keep everyone happy playing the classics found in the first decade. Red alert, Tiberian sun, Red Alert 2, Yuri’s revenge etc My primary role away from moderating the forums is making sure players can install the game, access the XWIS servers, and enjoy the game without any problems. And in the spare time I get, which is now, i will be making some tournaments, which will be video’d and live streamed. So hey, I’m Grant.
