The thing i remember most is the Godzilla cheat for the PSX C&C, always played the game in that mode! xD

Welp, 1.06c will have that. Sort of. More as a configuration than as a cheat, if you know what I mean

 

I don't remember buying DUNE II but I sure have strong memories of me and friends quoting the opening line "Dune... land of spice."

Whoever controls Dune controls the Spice.

Heh, I remember playing Dune 2 around the same time C&C95 came out. It's too bad its successor "Emperor: Battle for Dune" was largely overlooked by the C&C community, it was probably Westwood's best RTS game, as it was certainly their last.

There's also Dune 2000... the full remake of Dune II.

I remember that my brother got the CD from someone. I think we only had the Nod CD, which is probably why I have most memories of the Nod story and also why I like Nod and Kane the most. I could only play one GDI mission.

 

I also remember that when I first played Tiberian Sun, I never played as Nod since I thought CABAL sounded creepy. :D

I bought the first C&C when I was about 7 years old at a creepy (probably not legal) store nearby that have ceased to exist for long. They only sold used games and boxes with music CD's that where probably pirated.

I looked for the game with the coolest cover which I could spend my birthday money on (back then, the cooler the cover the more awesome the game). I stood with a flight simulator game in my left hand and C&C in my right. I ended up going home with C&C because of the cool cover

 

When my parents went to bed, I sneaked into the living room and installed the game on my dads working PC.

I remember that I had the most memorable time playing all night. My dad busted me at about 04.00 though throwing me back to bed. He eventually ended up playing the game occasionally himself

My first RTS was Dune 2000. I played it at a friends house and loved it so much I would bother him to let me play it. I remember he would prefer playing Red Alert but I was more into the sci-fi of Dune 2000. Good memories.

Hmm, yeah that's how I got in contact with Dune 2000, Red Alert 1 and TD. Maybe that's the reason I ultimately bought Tiberian Sun when my parents bought a new computer
