Luk3us 63 Posted June 25, 2004 Yep lotto is impossible to win.... Thats why they invented slot machines... I ALWAYS win something on them.... Share this post Link to post
chickendippers 1 Posted June 25, 2004 That's the idea behind them; let people win something so they keep coming back and spending more - why would they buy slot machines if they didn't make money? Share this post Link to post
J-Fire_Man 0 Posted June 25, 2004 Lottery will only ruin your live. Same as chickendippers, I'd rather buy computer stuff. Share this post Link to post
Gazdude 0 Posted June 25, 2004 Fruit/Slot machines have difficulty settings... One day they'll set it to easy so you win.. You come back the next day thinkin your gonna win and they set it to hard so you lose.... It's really abit more cunning than that but thats it explained in lamens terms... J-Fire_Man 0 Posted June 25, 2004 It's their tactics to attract more gambler to come and waste their money for nothing. Share this post Link to post
Saracen 16 Posted June 25, 2004 I have friends who have the strange and twisted ability to blow half a month's wages on slot machines.... and they say they don't have a gambling problem  Share this post Link to post
Gazdude 0 Posted June 25, 2004 Strangely so do my friends, i probably would but i have no form of income.. (apart from my parents) Share this post Link to post
Luk3us 63 Posted June 26, 2004 Yeah well people who spend that much money on em' do have problems.. I usually shove in a few bucks every now and then... That is when no one is around.... Share this post Link to post
Koen 2 Posted June 28, 2004 You will always lose on slots machines in the end, as you cannot find a 'winning system'. And it cannot give out more money than has been put in! It is better to play the lottery as you have a chance of 'winning big' once then? Current occupation: Student Dream Job: Weekly Lottery Winner Share this post Link to post
Thierry 0 Posted June 28, 2004 It also depends if the slot has payed out before or not. A slot that hasn;t be won with for a while has a better chance of winning then one that has been won with a while ago. Current occupation: IT Student Dream Job: IT Manager or somethin or C&C employee Share this post Link to post

Saracen 16 Posted June 28, 2004 May I ask chickendippers what the relavence of that previous post was... you made no personal comment to contribute towards the topic... Or was Gazdude's quote the point you were trying to stress? Share this post Link to post
Sonic 296 Posted June 29, 2004 Maybe chickendippers' keyboard is broken  8) Share this post Link to post
BigPoppaBear 0 Posted June 29, 2004 At the moment: Student, part-time work in a bar/restruant Dream Job: Manager of a Fortune500 company that makes me around £500million a day without me having to do anything, since I have a highly competent board of directors to manage things for me. Job I'd be happy to do: Journalist, work with the MoD, write for a games magasine. EDIT: What's everyone's worse job? Mine was working in an RS McColls newsagent. Early hours, crap pay, and having to put up with snobby Jewish (no racial slur, just fact) rich folk arguing with me for hours on end over a 20p discrepancy in their paper bill. It totally sucked. Or was Gazdude's quote the point you were trying to stress? That's exactly it. Thierry's point shows the exact logic that fruit-machine owners hope to trick their users into. Gazdude's point is the truth. Share this post Link to post
