ptd163 0 Posted September 4, 2011 I extracted the existing SEAL cameo and am wondering, Is any way to remove the "Navy SEAL" name at the bottom? I want to remove it so I can put in a different name. Share this post Link to post
Plok 327 Posted September 4, 2011 Use OS SHP Builder. It's a Paint-style program, so you must delete the text manually with the brush tool, but one of its plugins is a cameo generator and can type text where needed in the same font as stock Westwood ones. Share this post Link to post
Doctor Destiny 41 Posted September 5, 2011 That works, but I do the same thing with PSP. Share this post Link to post
ptd163 0 Posted September 10, 2011 OK thanks for the help guys. Now for another question. Could I use a custom cameo for a unit, but have use existing sprites/SHP? Share this post Link to post
Nmenth 291 Posted September 10, 2011 You can't have a custom cameo on a unit with a copied Image unless you change the original unit's cameo too, rather, you will need to create a duplicate unit. If your base unit is a GI, you have to copy gi.shp and rename the clone for your new unit, such as rngr.shp. Then you can clone the GI's art entry and switch [GI] to [RNGR]. Then use your new cameo with your new unit. Share this post Link to post
Nyerguds 102 Posted October 27, 2011 Seriously? Can't the modding system of YR simply replace the original cameo SHP file by using the same file name? Share this post Link to post
Plok 327 Posted October 27, 2011 Yes, but then you lose the original. Not if it's in ecachemd**.mix. Share this post Link to post
Nmenth 291 Posted October 27, 2011 I mean you lose access to the original. You can't have two cameos with the same name at the same time and expect both to work. Since Image= doesn't work on unit Art, the only way to have two identical unit sprites, but with different cameos, is to duplicate the entire unit. Of course, if completely removing and replacing the original unit is your intention, it is much easier. Share this post Link to post
