PurpleGaga27 40 Posted October 6, 2011 (edited) I guess some of the news sources have been mentioning about this lately, officially it has been called from Apple Inc. Jobs' long battle with pancreatic cancer since 2004 was never recovered. His stepping down as CEO of Apple was due to his failing health concerns. RIP to the Apple founder. Luk3us 63 Posted October 6, 2011 Wow, he's dead huh, that's a big blow to Apple, a great mind lost to time. Share this post Link to post
Doctor Destiny 41 Posted October 6, 2011 It was inevitable really. Cancer is pretty hard to cure, or at least get into remission. It's worse for pancreatic cancer. Share this post Link to post

Guest Rabbit Posted October 8, 2011 Well, not to be the negative nancy here, but I have literally never owned an apple product, be it a computer, ipod, iphone, etc, etc, so he's just another guy to me. Share this post Link to post
Doctor Destiny 41 Posted October 8, 2011 I've never owned an Apple product either, but he did have a profound impact on technology as a whole, and it's undeniable. Share this post Link to post
Luk3us 63 Posted October 8, 2011 ^^ What he said. In other news, everyone's favourite Christians are going to picket Steve Jobs funeral. Classy. Share this post Link to post
PurpleGaga27 40 Posted October 8, 2011 (edited) Well besides using a iTunes and Quicktime free software for Windows, I never owned a purchased Apple product. When I was a small kid, the first computer I had used in elementary school was an Apple computer with no hard drive and no operating system. Also FYI, Steve Jobs wasn't really his real name because his original parents were his biological parents whose last names were Jandali and Schieble. Jobs name was from his foster parents who adopted Steve. Edited October 8, 2011 by zocom7 Share this post Link to post
Nmenth 291 Posted October 9, 2011 Also FYI, Steve Jobs wasn't really his real name because his original parents were his biological parents whose last names were Jandali and Schieble. Jobs name was from his foster parents who adopted Steve. Just because his biological parents had different names doesn't mean Jobs isn't his real name. Share this post Link to post
Gben 20 Posted October 14, 2011 I don't like/own Apple products either, but he was a giant of our time. I have to respect him for the impact he has on my life, even indirectly. Halfway through the time magazine special... (Nice pic Mal.) Share this post Link to post
TheBlackOut 7 Posted October 24, 2011 I owned an iPod classic since 9th grade of high school (this is 6 years ago). I have dropped it more times then I can remember, I've even stupidly dangled it over my pool and let it slip in the water (the headphones caught it, they did not disconnect from the ipod which is AMAZING!) for a good 5 seconds. I let it dry out in the heat for a day, still works great to this day. Solid product. I recently got an iPhone in the last 6 months, never had a smartphone or thought I'd ever want one. I really like it, though I'm sure I'd be just as content with an Android or whatever else. Regardless, the guy did many things and deserves some e-respect obviously, RIP. Share this post Link to post
