Gben 20 Posted July 22, 2014 Only a mod/admin can mark a post as solved. The option is there to allow the topic starter to do it but I think it should a forum staff job. I like the direction, but I think the topic starter should have the ability to mark it solved/best answer - even though I understand why this is not enabled. If a dude asks a specific question he should have a say on whether his issue is specifically resolved - and it would be cumbersome for him to request a mod to say mark such-and-such post as best answer. Sonic 295 Posted July 22, 2014 There are very few topics to marked as solved, it's been enabled in the Tech Support forum for a long time, so I don't see it being a real problem. At least not right now. Share this post Link to post
Gben 20 Posted July 23, 2014 I understand your point of view... it just might lead to more activity for the tech forums. Share this post Link to post
Sonic 295 Posted August 22, 2014 Made some minor changes to the profile fields for your Command & Conquer Profile. Mostly to reflect the differences between C&C: Online and XWIS. Share this post Link to post
Sonic 295 Posted October 9, 2014 Fixed a CSS bug the prevented bold text from displaying in new or edited posts. Share this post Link to post
Sonic 295 Posted October 12, 2014 You can now display the name you use for Renegade X online as part of your Command & Conquer Profile on your profile page. 2 Share this post Link to post

PurpleGaga27 40 Posted October 13, 2014 At least that's something you guys need for now, a Renegade-X discussion forum. As for Status Updates, I still post a lot of shoutbox messages, until now. Share this post Link to post
Sonic 295 Posted October 14, 2014 The BBCode help button for the Shoutbox doesn't seem to work or display anything right now. BBCode can be used in the Shoutbox though. I can't figure out how to fix this to be honest. Share this post Link to post
PurpleGaga27 40 Posted November 21, 2014 Any chance to embed Facebook videos like those (I really want to post those latest Joe Kucan videos): https://www.facebook.com/video.php?v=1566556480230897&video_source=pages_finch_main_video https://www.facebook.com/video.php?v=1551431648410047&video_source=pages_finch_thumbnail_video https://www.facebook.com/video.php?v=1550287235191155&video_source=pages_finch_thumbnail_video Share this post Link to post
PurpleGaga27 40 Posted December 2, 2014 (edited) Sonic, if you are reading this, please support embedded videos such as Dailymotion, Metacafe, Google+ and Facebook. I found a tutorial on how to enable embed Dailymotion videos: http://invisionmodding.com/tutorials/article/406-dailymotion-video Edited December 2, 2014 by zocom7 Share this post Link to post
Sonic 295 Posted December 4, 2014 Yes they can be added to the media tag. I'll look into as soon as I can. Just spending less time on the computer in recent weeks. Share this post Link to post
Sonic 295 Posted December 4, 2014 I have done Media tag embed codes for Dailymotion and Metacafe. For these new ones you have to use the embed links, not the share links. Can't do anything for Google+ and Facebook videos. I can't find samples of the actual video embedding code. Besides, you can probably find most videos uploaded to YouTube anyway. PurpleGaga27 40 Posted December 4, 2014 (edited) I tried embedded this Dailymotion video, it doesn't work: http://www.dailymotion.com/video/x1vd2r_belinda-carlisle-circle-in-the-sand_music Not even this: [dailymotion]x1vd2r[/dailymotion] Edited December 4, 2014 by zocom7 Share this post Link to post
Plok 327 Posted December 4, 2014 http://www.dailymotion.com/embed/video/x1vd2r http://www.dailymotion.com/embed/video/x1vd2r You have to use the part after the src= tag and add "http:" on top of it. <iframe frameborder="0" width="480" height="270" src="//www.dailymotion.com/embed/video/x1vd2r" allowfullscreen></iframe><br /><a href="http://www.dailymotion.com/video/x1vd2r_belinda-carlisle-circle-in-the-sand_music" target="_blank">Belinda Carlisle - Circle In The Sand</a> <i>by <a href="http://www.dailymotion.com/jpdc11" target="_blank">jpdc11</a></i> Share this post Link to post
Sonic 295 Posted December 5, 2014 Not even this: [dailymotion]x1vd2r[/dailymotion] Codes like that will never work. Its all centralised under the Media tag. As @Plokite_Wolf said you need the find the SRC URL from the embed codes on these sites, once you have them just click on the Media icon and paste the link into the Media URL box. For Dailymotion: (must add an http: at the start) <iframe frameborder="0" width="560" height="315" src="//www.dailymotion.com/embed/video/x1yjbg2" allowfullscreen></iframe> http://www.dailymotion.com/embed/video/x1yjbg2 For Metacafe: <iframe src="http://www.metacafe.com/embed/11389251/" width="540" height="304" allowFullScreen frameborder=0></iframe> http://www.metacafe.com/embed/11389251/ Share this post Link to post

PurpleGaga27 40 Posted January 23, 2015 One thing has changed Sonic, and I don't know what it specifically is, users cannot see the latest post/thread on that forum section when logged off, except when logged in. Share this post Link to post
Sonic 295 Posted January 23, 2015 Are you talking about the newly created forum for The Ultimate Collection and The First Decade specifically or the forum as a whole? I just checked all the permissions for the new The Ultimate Collection and The First Decade forum and made one change. Its set-up exactly like all other forums. Share this post Link to post

Sonic 295 Posted January 24, 2015 I know what you mean. For some reason if you are logged out you don't see this.... It used to be there. I've gone over the forum settings and permissions. Can't figure why just yet. Share this post Link to post
Sonic 295 Posted January 26, 2015 Found and fixed the problem causing guests or logged out users from seeing the "Last info" on the forum index. Share this post Link to post
Sonic 295 Posted January 27, 2015 Some forum order changes. The Hosted Projects section has been moved to the end of the main index. The TibEd.Net Forums have been merged in to the Hosted Projects section. Also take not of the fact that the Command & Conquer Legos / Tiberium Legos, Tiberium Chronicles RPG Project and YR: Generals Mod have been archived, they are still open but work on these projects has ceased development.
