PurpleGaga27 40 Posted May 18, 2014 Yeah, but the question remains, is Firefox 29 as fast as Chrome... especially on going to another tab without pausing after closing a tab with a website with heavy loaded resources such as Tiberium Alliances? TA still runs slow on Firefox except as an indie app. After 25 versions from Firefox 4 to 28 which pretty much sums up the same old thing of what would have been Firefox 4, this Firefox 29 would have been called as the new Firefox 5.0. Sonic 296 Posted August 13, 2014 I'm really starting to get pissed off with Firefox lately. Why has become such a bloated piece of **** slow browser? I'm tired of how long it takes to load after Windows has booted. It sometimes hangs when loading a site. In comparison, Chrome doesn't seem to any of this. Perhaps its time to switch? Plok 327 Posted August 13, 2014 (edited) I guess the version number shows how many times more resources Firefox uses than in previous versions I've had issues like that on my XP, it takes ages to load the program itself, but I believe that's also partially due to the old configuration and high used space percentage. It behaves better on my new Win7 laptop. Edited August 13, 2014 by Plokite_Wolf Share this post Link to post
PurpleGaga27 40 Posted August 13, 2014 Well as of now, Firefox is a safer browser than Chrome. The problem the devs still can't get is to make Firefox to make faster loading just like Chrome, now it felt like Internet Explorer all over again. It might have something to do with the cache.
