I realize it's PC Gamer, but the best anti-piracy is Earthbound on the Super NES. It let you play the game up to the final boss, but when you went into the room to get to the boss, the game would crash and it deleted your save. That is ingeniously evil. xD

I heard that people on the Origin version of RA2 (from The Ultimate Collection) often get the exploding glitch, though. Yay for EA messing that up

I've also heard people owning RA2/YR on CD and having that issue Clean reinstallation would fix that.

Yeah, it's happened to me too with the original disks. Probably caused by rampant modding.

No idea. Seemed to depend on the OS from what I saw. I frequently browse the EA Answers HQ support forum of C&C.
