I'm getting it just for modding purposes as well.

I'll play it of course, but I think my sister will play it a *lot* more than me. If my graphics card can cut it of course and doesn't blow up.

I've read a release date today in GAME that it's out on the 12th November... Are you gonna be able to save up in a week for Killzone? Thought not... and considering Need For Speed 2 comes out on the 19th too, I'm now really stuck for a decision between a game I love and a game I fancy... Just like a dilemma scenario between a wife and the mistress...

 

P.S. I haven't got a mistress :wink:

i wud say get killzone, it really is gr8 ive been playing on the demo almost non-stop since last saturday, dont take my word 4 it ask my gud friend "Shuya" hes played it 2.

Maybe I'll bite my tongue and wait for my wife (to be) to get Need For Speed Underground 2 for Xmas... I should have pre-ordered Killzone at GAME today, I totally forgot... would have got a PS2 demo disc to play then... Oh well, I'll just have to go grab a PS2 mag with the demo on... if it's on a mag before the game comes out :?

Despite going WAY off topic in this thread.... I must say that KillZone looks damn impressive for a PS2 game. Its gotta be pushing every last bit of juice out of the aging PS2 though.

 

I still say FPS games on consoles don't work that good due to their poor control system, nothing beats the keyboard/mouse combo we are used to on the PC. Thats why I have concerns about Halo 2 on XBox.

 

Those of you who have tried the KillZone demo here, what are the controls like? How hard is it to aim?

the controls are alot like halo 4 the x-box, and its very easy 2 aim.

Aiming for first person shooters on consoles are generally as good as your steady hand I find..

 

Killzone's is very easy I found, and I don't have much experience with the FPS market on consoles.. I've played half life, Timesplitters and Red Faction 2 on my PS2 although briefly and it feels like I've been doing it for ages...

 

But saying that I've played more 3rd person shooters on my PS2 than any other game on the market. The controls these days are almost exactly the same, so maybe that's why I've found it easy...

It doesn't suprise me, nobody seems to care about BfME now, and it's refelcted quite highly in this thread alone... I did have major interest in the game to begin with, but it's diminished. EA haven't hyped the game very well and although they've shown us the "Behind the battle" series of vids, how many people are going to watch these longish movies unless they have a fast connection???

 

But the main reason we don't care about BfME is because really we wanted BfME to be the next C&C, not another money making "The Lord Of The Rings" cash in...

 

That's why I was quite happy to let the topic continue, despite the fact that it's my job as a moderator to make sure topics keep in line. Anyone who owns a PS2 cannot but be impressed with what Killzone has to offer. I just hope the game is long enough to reward many hours of gameplay out of it. And not sacrifice longetivity for the sake of having 4 characters, as so many games do these days.

i no what mean they do take a while 2 download, i watched a few of them. i dident really expect 2 but i liked wot i saw alot!!!!
