well... some more proof of a real particle cannon.

the presidents response expected in weeks... air force believes we must establish and maintain space superiority... this would cost an estimated $220 billion...every other nation has objected to this (I wonder why :roll: ) the government has ALREADY DEVELOPED SPACE WEAPONS AND PLANS FOR DEPLOYING THEM (can you say Particle cannon's sattelite?)

I'd say it was a nuclear UFO or something. I mean, could a meteor or asteroid perform two 90 degree turns (something along those lines, coulda been 60 degrees) before exploding? Would be nice to know. I'm one of those people who believe there could be life on other planets. I'm no fanatic, like those tards that believe in little green/grey men or what ever, I'm more into the down-to-earth (no pun intented) facts about life on other planets. Hell, it dosen't even have to be intelligent, it'd be a massive achievement to find an extraterrestial being, intelligent or not.

 

But if they turn out to be hostile, intelligent beings?

The colonization of the moon will come waay before the colonization of Mars. Then there will be the whole terraforming of the Red planet. Not within our lifetimes, mind you, but.....ya never know I plan to live forever.

Cygnus is right, Infact they have rail guns on some BS's or so i thought but there big and bulky. Lasers now for that matter we could have them by then but the Cost would be to great so it would take about 3 or 4 years "Cost Affective" crap, Also ION Engines "Stated by some one else in the forums" Are also about 50 60 years away. to sum it all up if you stay healthy dont get ran over by a bus you could see all this stuff take form in your life time.

#1: Ions are not just charged molecule particles, they're 2 different molecules fused and 1 has negative charges while the other has positive charges. The negative molecules are twice the nuber than the positive molecules in the ion.

#2: I found that there are researchers trying to make an ion collider, a device which is strangely like an ion cannon/ particle cannon. :oops:

For the record i know what Ions are, and yes the ION Collider is just an Ion Cannon type thing stated by Mr. Machine gun and it wont be long till they figgure it out and we'll have a super Missle destroyer and or tactical Target distroyer.

Ion engines are more like 40-50 years away, and thats at the current level of knowledge and technology

 

Lasers, while impractical for active combat, something similar to the Ion Cannon is being developed and WILL WORK, in fact it is not that far off (relatively speaking here) from completion, but still quite a wait. Rail guns do work, unfortunatley, the rails used to accelerate the ammunition cannot withstand the imense friction caused by the accerleration of the ammunition, and are therefor one-shot weapons. To get multiple shots, you would have to replace the rails after each firing. But the weapon has a current range of like 1000 miles (1600 km),so it would still be a devastating addition to any 21st century Battle Ships.
