As for the ION cannon being 40-50 years away? im cunfused how you say that it will take this long? we have nearly working Though veary small modles to test it, 15-20 years is more like it.

i find it hard it believe the timescales scientists giv us, i mean, in the 1960's or sumwhere near there, they said scotland would be home to polar bears by now (and not just in zoo's :roll: ). So i apologise for being sceptical about what they say.

we gota get a new space craft now though to put it up in orbit, and Bob knows what the UN and....other countries will say about it when we put it up there, plus we got to build an actual space worthy unit.

1: The French are sissies, anyone who sticks up for them here will be flamed to hell and back

 

2: ICBM on satelites. yeah. missiles can be shot down. Missiles have to be reloaded. Missiles take time to get to target. A particle cannon can hit the target less than a second after if fires. A particle beam con only be stopped by a lot of a lot of armor, which would aslo stop an ICBM. Particle cannons recharge auto matically.

Hmm... may have to disagree with you here dude. First of all, the system is not being disbanded, and second of all, may I ask what you would propose that we do with a failing system? The thing is a mess and is heading quickly toward bankrupcy. Bush just has the spine to challenge convention and try to save it!
