TaxOwlbear 20 Posted February 19, 2016 Welcome to Command & Conquer Red Alert 2! Red Alert 2 is probably one of the most beloved C&C games, and the last one developed by Westwood before Renegade (albeit with a different team). Share this post Link to post
TaxOwlbear 20 Posted April 25, 2016 Unlike the original Red Alert, this game actualyl gves us stuff right from the start, like planes. Share this post Link to post
TaxOwlbear 20 Posted April 25, 2016 This mission introduces one of my favourite tactics: Harrier cheese, the best tactic if you just need to destroy a single targets. Share this post Link to post
Traymen 6 Posted April 26, 2016 You have to really have bad tags over the movies... such popular game with such low views... something must be wrong. Share this post Link to post
TaxOwlbear 20 Posted April 26, 2016 Well, I'm not exactly the first to LP it, and the views are still above average for my channel. Share this post Link to post
TaxOwlbear 20 Posted April 29, 2016 Ah, this mission. You can probably just rush in with your initial forces, but I wanted to build a little bit first. Share this post Link to post
Ravendark 43 Posted April 29, 2016 You have to really have bad tags over the movies... such popular game with such low views... something must be wrong. Well, I'm not exactly the first to LP it, and the views are still above average for my channel. It has been kind of strange, the last month or more i've seen multiple channels that cover RTS or c&c related games go back and do RA/RA2 c&c95 content and the sorts. Like nostalgia kicking in like a flue season or such...everyone caught it at the same time. The reason for lower view counts might just be to that much coverage of a older genre at the same time. PurpleGaga27 37 Posted April 29, 2016 I wish you have showed some people speedruns on some RA2 missions and skirmishes. Only a few people managed to get world record speedruns on C&C95, Tiberian Sun, Red Alert and Red Alert 2. Share this post Link to post
Nmenth 289 Posted April 29, 2016 Speedrunning a game takes a lot of practice and patience from a very dedicated individual, you don't just decide to do a speedrun. Share this post Link to post
TaxOwlbear 20 Posted April 29, 2016 I'm not really a speedrunner. I guess I could pull of a couple of speedruns, but I doubt I would beat records set by RC1985 and other any time soon. Ultimately, I just like to play C&C and share that with others. Share this post Link to post
TaxOwlbear 20 Posted April 30, 2016 I only recently realised that you can actually take over one of the Soviets bases in this mission. I decided to go the commando way nevertheless. Share this post Link to post
Traymen 6 Posted May 1, 2016 (edited) I know one guy who tried to speedrun C&C classics... It's hard to classify it as speedruns, because he played several missions multiple times, due to wrong mission selection or unexpected AI moves... Anyway it's a good bunch of videos worth to watch. TaxOwlbear 20 Posted May 5, 2016 Finally, Prism Towers! Which are sort of cool, but I hate that they sometimes waste combined shots on a single rifleman. this time only using Rocketeers. Share this post Link to post
TaxOwlbear 20 Posted May 9, 2016 This mission can be pretty tough... if you let the Soviets build their nuke. There's no reason to let that happen, though. Share this post Link to post
TaxOwlbear 20 Posted May 19, 2016 (edited) This missions grants use our finest unit: The Prism Tank. Thanks to its spread and range, there's pretty much nothing the Soviets can counter it with unless they have Apocalypse Tanks - which they do not have in this mission. TaxOwlbear 20 Posted May 21, 2016 I never figured out the best way to complete this mission. Not that it matters; I just got lucky. Share this post Link to post
TaxOwlbear 20 Posted May 21, 2016 This one is a lot of fun. It's also pretty easy because, again, Prism Tanks. Share this post Link to post
TaxOwlbear 20 Posted May 22, 2016 A neat mission that can be approached in a couple different ways. This time, I went with Prism Tanks instead of planes. Share this post Link to post
TaxOwlbear 20 Posted May 23, 2016 The game's hardest mission in my opinion. I could have done this a little faster, but I don't want to jinx it after I survived the initial phase of the battle. Share this post Link to post
TaxOwlbear 20 Posted May 27, 2016 A pushover even on the hardest difficulty setting, but not a bad mission. They make it feel pretty dramatic with all those paratroopers (and it's in no way inspired by a certain 80s action film). Share this post Link to post
TaxOwlbear 20 Posted June 6, 2016 This mission is surprisingly difficult (relatively spoke) consider that it's only the second mission. The Allies have a good amount of units and a comparably strong navy. Also, why does Vladimir hates hotels so much. Share this post Link to post
TaxOwlbear 20 Posted June 8, 2016 This is the mission where you can blow up the Word Trade Centre if you really want to - removed from the original box art, but not from the game! Share this post Link to post
TaxOwlbear 20 Posted July 20, 2016 The Koreans are coming! One of a couple of Soviet missions that take place at home. It highlights how much weaker the AI is when it doesn't get a fancy base right from the start. Share this post Link to post
