Sonic 296 Posted November 13, 2004 I've made a favicon for CNCNZ.com. Favicons are supported by Internet Explorer and Firefox. Here is a screen shot of it.... If you add CNCNZ.com to your bookmarks or favourites this little icon will be copied to your computer. It should appear in the address bar of your browser each time you visit. Its just a simple image though, there isn't much you can do with a 16x16 image Share this post Link to post
Saracen 16 Posted November 13, 2004 Works in Netscape too Very snazzy Sonic, it stamps a mark upon the site and adds just that something extra... Nice touch  Share this post Link to post
chickendippers 1 Posted November 13, 2004 V cool The CnCWorld favicon isn't in your favourites list...we do have one Share this post Link to post
chickendippers 1 Posted November 14, 2004 They only show up in IE when you add a site to your favourites list, and even then they hardly work - you need a propper browser to view favicons. Share this post Link to post
Sonic 296 Posted November 14, 2004 When I tested it in IE I could never get it to show up. It shows up for me in Firefox but disappears if I switch to another tab. Perhaps I'm using the wrong code? This what have. <link rel="shortcut icon" href="/favicon.ico"> Chickendippers I see on CNC World you use this code... <link rel="icon" href="/images/ico.ico" type="image/ico"> I might give that one ago instead. UPDATE: I changed the code that makes the favicon diplay to match what Chickendippers has on CNC World. Ok I copied and pasted it It works better now. I've also set this up for the forums. chickendippers 1 Posted November 14, 2004 Hehe, I think I did a bit of copying and pasting of favicon codes from somewhere too; although probably from favicon.com Share this post Link to post

Koen 2 Posted November 15, 2004 Looks nice Though sometimes after a while (this is a general remark), they are suddenly gone and don't come back until I visit the page again. That can be a sign that I haven't visited the page enough of course Share this post Link to post
