Well that's cute C&C King... a picture and everything!

Oh, and way to support an argument based solely in stereotype. Brilliant.

Now I did not say that commies are more scum than terrorists... I would say they are both bad, but would not equate the 2. Don't put words in my mouth.

Communist China DOES oppress its people by controlling the media, and there is a major problem of religious persecution. Christian churches operate in fear, religious items/literature are filtered out and destroyed, and missionaries risk their lives just by being there. Communism is by nature very oppressive, and one of the many problems with it is that it destroys religious diversity. THAT I would say is pretty scummy. That cookie is looking pretty good...

communism itself wasn't evil, nor was its principals evil, it was just the way that Russia practised it & used it as an excuse. Russian "communism" was not so, it was a dictatorship.

Very true. My problem isn't with the principle of communism (though it is horribly flawed), but with its application. It can not work in its pure form (kinda like democracy), but instead, when applied, it tailspins into a juggernaut which crushes dissenting opinion and has no value for human life. That's where the evil comes from.

Prescicely, Communism can only truly work if the whole world at once gets up & believes in its ideals, but there will always be people looking to take advantage of it, & through that it can never truly exist. Communism is utopian, but utopias only exist in our dreams.

But that is one BIG burger!

Well its nice to see this argument has progressed into a discussion. At least there will be no more name calling  .

Now that is one big burger. I could just imagine how a vegetarian would freak upon seeing it. :)

Speaking of which, I have some food for thought here. Afghanistan was turned into a parking lot because of September 11. That is unquestionable, unless America planned September 11 and the Bin Laden tapes were done in Hollywood. One of the reasons people gave for war in Iraq was because they had ties to Al Qaeda and were somehow involved in September 11. If that were true then how far does accountability lie? Apparently the hijackers trained using Microsoft Flight Simulator. Do we take action against Bill Gates? Should America sue WestwoodEA for inspiring Al Qaeda with Red Alert 2? How about going after the airlines of the hijacked planes, or the people who made the box cutters or had the security that allowed them to be taken through airport security?

There is no way you can seriously expect me to believe that America would kill 3000 of its own people just to go get Bin Laden. Bollocks, the only thing suspicious about September the 11th is the Pentagon crash!

I cannot see how leftists can expect people to believe that claim either. But people do claim that Bush planned September 11, as crazy as it sounds. That would never happen, no matter how evil people think Bush is. And to those who think otherwise, why put the blame on Afghanistan rather than, say, Iraq? Bush wanted the oil there, he wanted to avenge his daddy, so why did he not blame Iraq for September 11? The answer is Bush planning the terrorist attacks is a fantasy concocted to spur on further Bush and American hatred.

Exactly. Idiots will always find a way of villainizing Bush.... no matter how ridiculous. And no, we did not go into Iraq for oil..... gas prices are at all time highs here. If we WERE there for oil, I'm pretty sure we'd be seeing the benefits. We did it for our own national security, and for the stability of the world in general. We are liberators and not occupiers, and we are not taking advantage of Iraq.

Can you not pick up on sarcasm? Well okay, the cookie did look good... but I wrote that before lunch. Now let me assure you that I'm not one of the fat Americans. Seriously... there aren't even that many! I only know, like, 2, and they aren't even all that fat. That's the thing about stereotypes C&C King...

I'm 6'2" and weigh 180 lbs. It's just about right. But I would be more than happy to tackle that burger

Oh don't be silly Leang. Iraq was actively supporting terrorism, paying the families of suicide bombers, had some shaky links to Al Quaeda, etc etc. The point is that they were clearly on the same side. I'm pretty sure that Microsoft doesn't want to see Americans die... well, I'm assuming an awful lot there

Wow. I never saw so much stupidity and sensibility in one unrealated set of posts regarding the topic. Kinda of a lot to reply to there. but I will say this. America does have to lead the world in doing what is right. Not all the time, but look at Iraq. The UN said there was nothing wrong there, America deffied UN orders, went in, and found more wrong with the country and the way it was run than the UN could have thought of over lunchbreak. Even with that cookie. (or the burgger  ) And a lot of Iraqs problems are fixed. Now their not all fixed, as no one is perfect. But look at what was possibly averted. Saddam had rubuilt enough of his military to pose a serrious threat the Middle Eastern security (not that it had any) If he had picked a side, we would see a real war erupt in the mid-east. Now, if a boiling point is reached, not only is the local bully not around to push and shove, but the global "big bully" America has troops near at hand to stabilize any tense sittuation.

And as for the other nations greater then America, none of them are standing today are they? People have morally evolved since then. Unfortunatley, people have also morraly de-volved. And yes, there are plenty of nations to compare America to, but everybody and every nation has their ups and downs, and if we were debating every single contested point of American policy, well, that guy in the picture could have finished that burgger AND the cookie before we would be done here. There will always be room for improvement.

Very well said Cygnus. A breath of fresh air... geez . I'm glad someone sees the Iraqi situation for what it actually is, and realizes that America isn't a heavy-handed immoral brute like the other "great" nations in history. Hehe, thanks for the small amount of backup

America is by no means perfect, but I would say that it is the best this world- past or present- has to offer.

Oh yeah... and about the most hated unit

uh.... can we all agree on terror drone?

Did you hear that America is now threatening to attack Iran? They are even using weapons of mass destruction as the reason, well because they have not told America the details of their nuclear weapons program to be precise.

Also note that we are now on TWO of their borders.... hmm.....

I think that the war on terror is broader in scope than any of us realize. It's all for the best... we can't have a country like Iran with a nuclear arsenal! I pray that they do disarm, but bloody action now is much better than far bloodier nuclear war. We'll see how it plays out... hopefully we can bring enough pressure to settle peacefully.

Sorry I do apologise, my sense of humour is coming back.

To be honest I couldn't give a damn what happened with Iraq. Most of it is in the past now and that's where it should stay.

As for America, it doesn't have enough history to make it great. Americans can't justify where they came from. As far as they are concerned they have always been there, when they haven't.

Most Americans are the product of Trators in Rebellion of the English Crown. Pureblood English people who fled from Britain beecause they couldn't handle British authority. The British Army was posted over there to kill every man woman and child who was a trator to the King, and add America to the Great British Empire. They may have won in the war of independence, but deep down, they are still British, and should never forget that!

So we go from America the Great to God save the Brits. What's next. All Hail Ceasar?

About Iran. They're not the best at keeping stuff away from others. Imagine if 11th of September 2001 was with a nuke, instead of airliners. *shudder* The world would not be as insane as it is today. we'd all be dead. America established itself as the sole remaining superpower, one with more nukes than your calculator plus 2000 can count. They arent gone let anyone else get anywhere near the power and threat level of the U.S.S.R. America doesnt want another cold war-ish situation. And especially with the war torn middle east, the U.S. (or anyone else for that matter) wants nukes anywhere near the region. That has badness written all over it.

Wow, do non-Americans think that American burgers are humongous and that they are fat? Fat Stereotypical Americans....., which is actually true

That big burger picture is an exaggeration. A regular burger isn't that big. Its pretty small, but is full of fat, and cholesterol, and stuff. There are the large super burgers, like 2 burgers stacked on top, and big giantic burgers that are flat but wide. These are slightly burger, but are equivalent to 2 burgers. I have never seen a burger as big as that big burger picture. If any of you have a McDonalds near you, check the menu: the burgers aren't that big, they just pack a lot. There is a 2,000 calorie burger at this chain called Hardy's. If you take a look at it, it sin;t much bigger than, say a big mac at mcdonalds.

I'm assuming you know what Mcdonalds is: large food chain, main cause of heart disease, unhealthy but tasty burgers, stores all around the world.

I myself eat large burgers that are twice as large as Macdonald burgers, bu they aren't that fatty. Whole wheat bun with lettuce, ketchup, and all natural beef burger is very tasty, and is nowhere near as fatty as Macdonalds is (more expensive though). The main reason most americans are fat is that hey eat out often, at fast food restaurants like McDonalds cause they;re cheap. If they ate my kind of burger, they wouldn't be so fat. Also the cheap and plentiful availability of disgusting junk food: soda, chips, and sweets are very cheap here, and main cause of child obesity.

Even with reports of large obedity rate, almost no one in my school is obese, even though many eat out for lunch, cause they go to more healthy chains that are more expensive. As for school lunch, its impossible to get fat on a our school's lunch which is stnadard NYC school lunch.

To get a good idea of prices: 100cents to a dollar.

chips-25cents/soda-50cents to 1.25/ 50cent cakes/1 dollar macdonald burgers/5 dollar bigmacs/healthy burgers. Most people think 25 cents is nothing, jsut chump change.

By the way, maybe we should all post our height and weight and compare:

Me=6 foot, 1or 2 inches, 120 lbs. (my BMI is underweight)

Remember that man who ate nothing but McDonalds and did no exercise for a month? I loved their reply to the stunt he pulled. Of course eating McDonalds for a month with no exercise is going to be disasterous to the body.

Youd kill your self if you did that. Uhgg. I cant stand people who only eat McDonalds and chips and sweets, and THEY DONT EVEN TRY TO EXCERSIZE OR ANYTHING. One of the greatest feelings in the world is to be able to run 4-5 miles without stopping or killing your self. Get up early in the morning, 5:30 or so, and just run. Bare foot over feild of grass feels realy good in the morning. Even if you dont have a field of grass, acouple miles down the sidewalk in tennies aint so hard, its even refreshing, good for you, builds endurance, confidence, and you wont get fat or weak. Lift weights. Get into sports, even recreational. Go take a hike. Get out and enjoy the world! If you dont have time, make some. Skip something else (but not school)to give your self time. Learn to swim, or if you can, just do laps some days. A good workout does the body wonders, and it really clears the mind. Spliting wood even helps. That way, you get work done and excersize at the same time.

Actually when I was in the states last year I noticed that ya Mc Donanld "sandwich" meals were bigger than what I get back home. In particular ya chips and drink are like twice the size... And the burgers were slighty bigger....

Tis not fair I pay $7 bucks and all I get is jack.... :(

oh absolutley Cygnus... running through grass is amazing. After being done with high school and football/track etc, I've been finding other ways to get exercise. I go surfing a couple times a week (seven days without surfing makes one weak ), and I take the opportunity to run a few miles in the sand down to a pier and back when I'm done. Running in sand is awesome... really works your calves!! Most mornings I get up early and swim about 150 yards or so (depending on lake size after the hurricanes ) across the lake in my backyard and back. Fun stuff, except for the water moccasins and alligators :D... No joke.

Yeah, yard work is a great way to get exercise too... hehe, we don't have much need for chopping wood here in Florida, but the grass grows at a ridiculous rate, and recently we made a little sand beach down at our lake. I shoveled about twelve TONS of sand and moved it in a little tractor... my hands are still sore and covered in blisters. What a great workout though :P

I personally LOVE large hamburgers (not that big C&C King)... there's a place here called Cheeburger Cheeburger (from an old SNL skit ), and they have a pound hamburger. They take your picture and put it on their wall if you eat it all. It's awesome. Don't worry though... I do plenty to burn off the carbs and fat. I won't be dying on ya anytime soon
