BWare 0 Posted January 31, 2005 yes... let's keep it going! So..... what do you all think about the Iraqi election? Share this post Link to post
General Leang 0 Posted January 31, 2005 A serious blow to the murdering insurgents, and proof that Iraq really does want peace and stabability. Now the men and women of the armed forces there can be brought back home as quickly as possible. Share this post Link to post
Cygnus X-1 12 Posted January 31, 2005 Let Iraq get its national guard off the ground, then yes, its time for the boys (and girls) to come home. C&CKing, what do you mean about "the right timing" on the subject of hunter-seekers? Share this post Link to post
BWare 0 Posted January 31, 2005 yeah it is an amazingly good step forward... something like 70-80 percent turnout??? Incredible. All the nay-sayers can shut up now Share this post Link to post
Cygnus X-1 12 Posted January 31, 2005 Agreed. (again) They say great minds think alike. Share this post Link to post
Luk3us 63 Posted February 1, 2005 So with the election over and a winner to be annoucned soon... The big question is how long will American troops stay in Iraq... Share this post Link to post
BWare 0 Posted February 1, 2005 Agreed. (again) They say great minds think alike. hahaha... yes, they do say that  So with the election over and a winner to be annoucned soon... The big question is how long will American troops stay in Iraq... oh for heaven's sake dude... how long were American troops in Germany post WWII? It's only been 2 years! Give it a rest. The Iraqis need the additional security, but troop presence will be phased out in time. We will stay there until our job is done. We Americans don't like leaving things half-done  Share this post Link to post
Luk3us 63 Posted February 1, 2005 Well obviously they're not going to leave the day after tommorrow. I just wonder how long. Share this post Link to post
Mario 0 Posted February 1, 2005 What do you think is so annoying about the gat tank in RA2, Leang? The anti air and anti infantry part of them. Plus the cannons are stronger than most defensive structures. Thankfully they can be taken out...Prism Tanks or Magnatrons do the job nicely. No such luck for the Soviets though. Best bet would be Siege Cannons if you can get them within range without being attacked. The Buggies are quite annoying, and units like Suicide Bombers (Israel) and Hijackers; surely everyone knows why they are hateable, are bad. But I just cannot help but think of the USA rocket soldiers when I hear anti American sentimism or what evils troops in Iraq are meant to be up to. i hated the suicide bombers they are a pain in the ass and the angry mobs can be too Share this post Link to post

General Leang 0 Posted February 1, 2005 It had as much to do with bad taste for me. Like using car bombs ala the Bali bombings. Share this post Link to post
Cygnus X-1 12 Posted February 1, 2005 The GLA is a terrorist group...but I see your piont. I actually felt sympathetic to the Chinese campaign, seeing as hoe they had to deal with this stuff in their homeland (in the game) Now, and in the future, mid-easters have to deal with this kind of thing all the time. It makes me wonder...Why? I know the answer, all these religions bent on "enlightening" others" Thats why our troops have to stay in Iraq. If anything big happens, our troops are there to help, suuport, and protect. Not only that, but if major war hits off, say in Israel, then there will be a number of US troops and vehicles nearby to assist with the sorting out of the conflict. Share this post Link to post
General immeyourenot 0 Posted February 1, 2005 Realistically the soldiers in Iraq NEED to stay in a while longer, if they were to leave ASAP then riots would break out & all the time there would be wasted. The troops have to stay until a firm government has been set up which can look after itself. Some people don't seem to think logically about such things though. Share this post Link to post
General Leang 0 Posted February 2, 2005 Speaking of which, EA seem to be psychic by including the Angry Mob into the game. They are apparently based on the violent anti war protesters, and many believe they are overpowered. Well it is because of insurgents...civillians who are fighting against the coalition, that is the major cause of troubles in Iraq. Share this post Link to post
Cygnus X-1 12 Posted February 2, 2005 Then maybe EA could read our minds and make RA3 real good. Share this post Link to post
Luk3us 63 Posted February 2, 2005 Well if they could really read minds then they're of made TT instead. Share this post Link to post
Cygnus X-1 12 Posted February 2, 2005 Mmm...Good piont. Maybe they want suspense.......BOO! Did I scare ya? Share this post Link to post
Saracen 16 Posted February 2, 2005 C&C King, what do you mean about "the right timing" on the subject of hunter-seekers? The firestorm has to come on no earlier than 3-5 seconds before the hunter seeker flies in, otherwise the wall does not have enough power charge to destroy it, and it'll just fly through. That's what I find anyway... Share this post Link to post
Cygnus X-1 12 Posted February 2, 2005 Interesting. Dont think I'll tryit though. Much simple just to blow things up. Share this post Link to post
Luk3us 63 Posted February 2, 2005 Now if I remember correctly the hunter seeker would still smash up the firestorm wall and knock it offline when it hit... Share this post Link to post
General immeyourenot 0 Posted February 2, 2005 Hunter seekers were far to random to be of any real use, just more of an annoyance. Share this post Link to post
Cygnus X-1 12 Posted February 3, 2005 The AI hunterseeker is a real annoyance, 'cause it always hits the important stuff, like conyard, refineries, ect. While yours only hits stupid things like an infantry or a recon bike. Share this post Link to post
GeneralZ 0 Posted February 3, 2005 well for me, its usually hits the barracks, power plant, defenses, sometimes a unit. And there's also the explosvie radius. Units around it also get damaged maybe there's a way to tweak it with the ini files, changing AI stuff Share this post Link to post
SmartSquid399 0 Posted February 3, 2005 Well if I'm going to learn how to program soon so I might be able to change some of that stuff. Anyways the most annoying units are: C&C Original: Haven't played the game in a while, forgot the units. Red Alert: Same Tiberian Sun: Hunter Seeker Red Alert 2: Not sure Yuri's Revenge: Chaos Drones Generals: All units are good Share this post Link to post
Cygnus X-1 12 Posted February 5, 2005 Rules .ini editing is easy. Its just a text file. Change a few numerical values to "tweak" the game. But for real editing, your gona want a mix extractor and editor. Share this post Link to post
