StarCraft tops my list, followed closely by Red Alert 1.

It's almost like you've never seen or heard of StarCraft. Get it, now. It's cheap and beats the hell out of anything ever made.

Warcraft is also good, when coming to C&C......Red Alert and TS series are kinda even

It would be very interesting to see a modern day Total War.

But as they won't be doing that any time soon, I'd say Rise of Nations. It's Age of Empires 2 across the whole timeline. So what if it's 2D, it's still perhaps one of the best in my eyes.

Age of Empires 2 is a HORRIBLE game. I got the gold edition with the expanson, and it is borrringg! I'll much rather play C&C. Its sitting in my shelf gathering dust

I'd say Rome: Total War. Aside from the fact that it's realistic, it has the BEST graphics engine.

Generals was cool, RA2 was fun, but TS/FS was deffinetly the most fun, challenging, and best storyline. And the creatures. Awesome.

The Gameplay was better in RA2, and even better in Generals, I just hope that TT uses Tiberium for money and constructionyards for buildings. But a bulldozer could level groung and clear tiberium grownt for building. TS still rocks.

Better strategical game than C&C has ever been. it may appear boring, but in terms of strategy gameplay it does beat C&C. Rise of nations is the same but it is more territorial. But nevertheless, C&C is still good for good old 'Gun HO' tactics.

TS/FS was deffinetly the most fun, challenging,

Challenging  I decided to start that game on hard for my first go and still completed the game with both sides in under 2 weeks. TS was not that challenging

Westwood games are never challenging.... They're fun to play but the missions are far to easy even on the hardest levels...

TS was the most challenging C&C.

And half of you are braggin' about how easy it was. Sure it was easy, but not that easy.

BAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!! TS is a cakewalk when pitted against its earlier counterpart Tiberian Dawn. TD and RA are by far the hardest incarnations of the C&C series. Nothing comes close to the sheer brilliance of either game.
