Luk3us 63 Posted March 30, 2005 Umm... Check the main page... www.cncnz.com It'll be interesting if they do go ahead and make RA3 for the PSP.... Wonder what type of game it would be.... I hope it won't be a RTS... On that small a screen... Arghhh that would suck indeed... Hmm... Seems like a good excuse for me to buy one... If they ever get here that is.... fox34343 1 Posted March 30, 2005 it might not be out in europe until winter i dont think thier making ra3 for its just remakes of the originals. Command & Conquer, and Command & Conquer Red Alert will be making appearances on the PSP. We don't have a slated release date, but the games will have to be totally revamped for PSP's UMD architecture. Share this post Link to post
apocolyp4 0 Posted March 30, 2005 I dont like playing C&C or any other RTS games with the execption of Pikmin on a console as the anologue sticks just arent up for the task. IMHO it would make more sense to port it to the Nintendo DS or an PDA as they have touch screens and are more suited for RTS games. Share this post Link to post

Luk3us 63 Posted March 30, 2005 PDA's are meant for games anyway... PSP is soo going to kick the DS.. Share this post Link to post
fox34343 1 Posted March 30, 2005 i dunno its gonna be a close fight, the DS was the fastest selling console ever accross europe, when it was released a few weeks back. Share this post Link to post
apocolyp4 0 Posted March 30, 2005 Dont be so sure about the PSP beating the DS especialy if you havent played Metriod First Hunt or Wario Ware Touch. I prefer my portable machine to last longer playing as it take to charge. I dont like having to wait 2 to 3 mins to load the game up only to tilt the machine and have the disk fly out the back of it! Back to topic if and that a big if they do make it for the PSP I dont know what he means saying the games will have to be totally revamped for PSP's UMD architecture? If its ports of the origional and RA then all the only advantage of having UMD disks is that that they can pull the whole game on one disk. But if it a port of RA3 then it might mean that they have to degrade the texture quality and the FMVs to fit on the 1.8 Gig disk. Either way EA should be focus on getting it out for the PC first before thinking about the PSP or any other games machine. Share this post Link to post
Luk3us 63 Posted March 30, 2005 It would be kinda cool if they re-released RA onto the PSP... I wonder if they'rd charge full price for it too.... :? Bout the DS and PSP.. I haven't played the PSP (obviously) so I don't know.. But I've played round on the DS.. Its pretty cool... I just like the cool Sony looks tis all.. I know you shouldn't judge a book on its cover yeah yeah yeah... But apperance has to count for something.. Oh yeah bout UMD... Aren't they like exactly like their mini discs? Koen 2 Posted March 30, 2005 I guess it will be like Red Alert for the Playstation... totally bad. If they'd use the Nintendo DS, you'd be able to control units with your stilo... that's just cool. But not on the PSP :S Share this post Link to post
fox34343 1 Posted March 30, 2005 i have C&C tib dawn red alert and dune2000, for my play station, they aint that bad, and the side bar is different so its easier. Share this post Link to post
apocolyp4 0 Posted March 30, 2005 The first time I played C&C was on the Playstation I didnt like the controls for it and it looked worse that the old Dos version. They should try to make new games for the PSP instead of just porting existing games as why should I pay the price for a PSP game where I can buy it at the same price for my PS2 and play it on a large screen with surround sound? fox34343 1 Posted March 30, 2005 The first time I played C&C was on the Playstation I didnt like the controls for it and it looked worse that the old Dos version. it dont look that bad, this is red alert 1, you can see the side bar i was talking about it abit like the ra2 sidebar, sorry i made the image abit blurry stupid paint lol Share this post Link to post
chickendippers 1 Posted March 30, 2005 Looks god-awfull, the PC version is much better Share this post Link to post
fox34343 1 Posted March 30, 2005 if they are updates of the original red alert and TD, i wonder if they will update the graphics, maybe 3D. Share this post Link to post
apocolyp4 0 Posted March 30, 2005 Westwood did remake the origional C&C in 3D on the N64. Even though it has a low poly count it is still looks not bad and you can get it cheap so if you have a N64 its worth a buy. Share this post Link to post
fox34343 1 Posted March 30, 2005 i found a few screen shots, looks interesting, pitty i dont own a N64. Share this post Link to post
chickendippers 1 Posted March 30, 2005 See, that looks awesome > Generals Shame it didn't have FMVs though. Share this post Link to post
Saracen 16 Posted March 31, 2005 I found C&C 64 to be a better game than any of the C&C's on the playstation. I can't comment why, perhaps it was because all the magic was still there. despite them revamping the graphics. The playstation versions just felt flat. Even the original C&C which I felt the game ran just as fast as RA2  Share this post Link to post
Luk3us 63 Posted April 3, 2005 I actually played C&C first on a PS1.... Then I got it on PC... I didn't think it was too bad... But it was easier with a mouse. Share this post Link to post
BWare 0 Posted April 3, 2005 yeah, nothing beats pointing and clicking. I am, however, definitely looking forward to the C&C PSP games! That will be awesome.... I'll have to buy a PSP now. Now let's see.... is 5 days lifeguarding worth it? Share this post Link to post
