TheBlackOut 7 Posted April 2, 2005 The only reason I bring this up is because one opened near me!!( In bike riding range  ) And I had so many coffee frappacinos!!!! But do you like it? if so what is your favorite thing there? Share this post Link to post
Sonic 296 Posted April 2, 2005 Starbucks its not that big in New Zealand, we have one here in Hamilton but I never been there. Probably never will, I hear they prices are ridiculously high. Share this post Link to post
Saracen 16 Posted April 2, 2005 A rich man's coffee shop which is rediculously expensive anywhere in the world  It's usually better to buy a good quality coffee maker, and get high grade coffee.. and get the same (if better) result in the comfort of your own home. Share this post Link to post

There are at least 5 in centeral christchurch... All with in about 2 minutes walk of each other... Strange that... :? Anyway they do have nice coffee... Though they're a little expensive... Cygnus X-1 12 Posted April 3, 2005 I read somwhere that once a Starbucks had opened on every other lot on the planet, the next one to open would be in the parking lot of a starbucks. Or Whatever I'm not a big coffee fan, but I like the smell :? kinda weird Share this post Link to post
Luk3us 63 Posted April 3, 2005 I'm not a big coffee fan, but I like the smell :? kinda weird Well thats just like petrol or spirits... They smell nice.. But you're be a fool to drink them... Kinda like starbucks so called food... yuck.. Share this post Link to post
Cygnus X-1 12 Posted April 3, 2005 Let me give you a hint. If you want food, go to a restaraunt, or fast food joint. Share this post Link to post
chickendippers 1 Posted April 4, 2005 There isn't a Starbucks where I live..have to go across to Liverpool for that pleasure...where I live doesn't really have any culture so there aren't ne coffee shops except in the one bookstore  I don't like coffee anyway so I don't mind. Cygnus X-1 12 Posted April 7, 2005 Starbucks isnt all that great, so youre really not missing anything. There are maybe 10 within 30min drive from my house, and only one of them is good. Share this post Link to post
BWare 0 Posted April 8, 2005 I have to say that I've recently grown an appreciation for coffee... probably because I'm running on 3 hours of sleep a night trying to get into med school! but yeah, the Starbucks white chocolate mocha is awesome Share this post Link to post
Acerz492 1 Posted April 24, 2005 Bah, why spend $6+ on a (not so small, in fact I think it's called a bloody "Tall" coffee for the smallest size. What the hell?) coffee when you can make your own at home? Speaking of which, I shall go make another. Share this post Link to post
Mina Synd 0 Posted April 25, 2005 i thought the UK was free of the chain-food shops... until recently... i mean we all got things like burger King and McDonald's, that's acceptable. i'm talking the US thing where they have 9 or 10 different food shops all literally next to each other in a row. (i know that's true cos my friends tell me) a month or two ago we got an american "Subway" sandwich shop... acceptable, cos they look tasty o.o but then... shock, horror... a starbucks appeared right next to it. i think the subway is secretly an american food shop portal in disguise >_>; Share this post Link to post
Saracen 16 Posted April 25, 2005 You should come to Didcot then, there's a good 18 or so fast food restaurants in the whole quarter mile length of the high street. following in close equal second are the banks and charity shops with 10 each, and the remaining 20 or so buildings are legitimate business offices or shops  Thank god they are just completing construction of the 30 store "retail only" town centre with brand new 5 Screen cinema complex. This town might now just have an economy to develop itself on... Share this post Link to post
Mina Synd 0 Posted April 25, 2005 see if i had a multiplex shopping centre thing round here i might go out more... and if i had an income. i was on a college course, but i failed... on the plus side though mom says my tutor liked me too much and is trying to get me on a course where i go two days a week (used to go 4. gets better an better) doing compy graphics (which i like) and i get paid £40 a week for doing so. there are 5 spaces (really small group) and 6 candidates... if i get that it's going to be a godsend, and maybe i won't have to post on here so much XD but until then i do. i have no work, no school/college to go to, my only friends were college "work" friends that i saw every day but never spoke with outside of classes... and i'm scared of going out, so i don't know anywhere. if i don't know anywhere i'm scared of going out and have no reason too. vicious circle! so i stay in and chat on msn with my online friends and this pretty much. so sorry for talking a lot but you guys are one of my only social contacts in life... if you really want me to tone it down i guess i could try Share this post Link to post
Cygnus X-1 12 Posted April 25, 2005 Get out more! I know that sounds simple for us and hard for you, but....well, I have a hard time sitting by while an online friend tells us that they dont have much of an outside life. Unfortunatley, I really dont know where you could start....maybe a pic-nique with your mom and one other person? Thats were I would start. Share this post Link to post
Mina Synd 0 Posted April 26, 2005 well y'know, might be able to if i knew any picnic areas. and if mom wanted to do that... and if there was a third person. don't see why i should take any advice from you anyway... go acting all nice on the forums then yell at me in a PM. just so you know i'm crying now. hope you're happy. this may be one of the last posts i do, so i'm sure you'll be even more excited Share this post Link to post
GeneralZ 0 Posted April 26, 2005 i wonder......what did u say to her, Cygnus, to make her upset?? :? Share this post Link to post
Mina Synd 0 Posted April 26, 2005 i'll PM it to you in a second. just out of curiousity, what do they actually sell in Starbucks? i know they do coffee but i've never been inside one from sheer fear @.@ Share this post Link to post
Cygnus X-1 12 Posted April 26, 2005 I didnt yell at her, I just updated her on her ability to turn the forums into chat room between three people, Sonic and King and others were getting annoyed too, and it was getting topics locked. (like this one is sure to be soon if this keeps up) Share this post Link to post
Mina Synd 0 Posted April 26, 2005 look who's changing the subject now. King only blammed me cos i accidentally swore a few times and i did go on a lil in a few boards. If sonic is mad at me he hasn't shown it to me. so what do they sell in Starbucks beside "rich man's coffee"? Share this post Link to post

You should go sometime... don't know why you fear going there...... Share this post Link to post
