I've only broken one.... during football season I really screwed up my right middle finger during a tackle. It swelled up to about twice its size, and I thought it was a bad sprain and didn't think much of it. I was a lineman, so I was down on it in a 3 point stance constantly, and kept re-injuring it during tackles. It was killing me, but I'd had sprains before, and didn't think it was anything serious. As the season went on, it stayed swollen, and I thought it was because I kept bumping it. After the season was over, though, I was able to rest it, and it was then that I realized that the swelling was solid bone from a fracture that hadn't healed right. Now it aches pretty much all the time, especially when the weather changes, and the joint pops like crazy every time I move it.

I was playing Rugby against a St. Pats College. It was during a scrum that right after i goto the ball passed to me, i weaved in and out of players but then a big bloody polonesian came out of the blue and tackled me, jolted me like hell. I woke up, 1 day later, turns out i was knocked unconcious and he broke 3 ribs and 1 arm and 1 leg. The pain was alot but it was all paid for by the wellington jonour rugby association. never play rugby against big fellas.

 

Turned out in the end he was in the wrong grade and was fined $100 for dileberatly being in the wrong grade and not being registered

Never broken any myself.

My neighbor rode his bike at like 40-50 kph into a parked car

He broke both kneecaps, his nose, an arm in 2 places, and a fractured rib

Well I've had some pretty damn harsh looking accidents in my life, but have not broken any bones in terms of limb or general skelital fractures. Even if once i was cut to shreds from head to toe after a very serious bike accident on the road, in which I was not wearing a helmet

 

But I have broken my nose, twice, playing rugby.

 

First time was when I was 13, I'd happened to be tackling a guy sprinting at full speed towards me, as he got close I went in for the tackle, he sidestepped twice to phase me and ended up crashing his knee right into my nose. absolutely shattering it.

 

I can't remember the other time, I only found out I broke it after full time.

I've never broken anything playing rugby but a team-mate broke his arm in a maul, another incident a team-mate was stretchered off after 5 mins 'cos they thought he might have damaged his neck (game was cancelled).

i play less rough sports like badminton and soccer. No broken ones for me. but there are some nasty bruises and sprains and even burns. I was burnt a bit as a little child...

I've seen some nasty collisions in Soccer. Like Head to head. It aint fun, I would imagine. Never had a game cancelled from injury, but a ref had a heart attack about 4 min into the game, so it was officially canceled, but the two teems played anyway just for fun, there was no point in not playing.

thats the bruises. the ball can hit u very hard, or players slam into each other while trying to take possesion of the ball

i have broken all my bones but like 16 or 20. I used to be a hot-shot and jump off short cliffs and water drop- offs, stuff like that, you know how we are when we were kids.

Remeber now, he was like, 8 yrs old. (guess) And it wasnt real love (hopefully) it was one-loo- and-fal- for-it-cause-youre-young-and-dont-understand-any-of-it-at-all type things (I'm assuming) Else he wouldnt be his best friend for very long.

I've seen some nasty collisions in Soccer. Like Head to head. It aint fun, I would imagine..

 

Going back to rugby I had a head to head collision as I was going full sprint into a maul.... The maul broke up before me and this opposing guy got there... and at full speed we collided.

 

We both fell on the floor, I shook it off and got up. The other guy was still on the floor unconscious. At first I thought I killed him cos he wasn't breathing, but he'd just swallowed his tongue.... he was rushed to hospital for concussion but was released the next day... :?

Everseen 15-19 yrs Girls Field Hockey? I thought the guys were rough in Rugby, in Field Hockey they get the Clubs/Stick thingys.

I was busy with a very very very long PHP page when a #@@&$($)% janked out the power cable before I could save.....

And I got so angry I threw a chair at him (with metal paws) and his shoulder got stuck between the wall and a metal thingy and broke.....

Yeh....I get pissed too....I teach my comp a few new words now and then

The guy was fine later on though.... but he kinda avoided my comp from then on......

I was 9, and it was only a crush. My best friend was also crushing on my mother, which all my friends, even now, think my mom is hot. She's only about 39 or 40.
