CNCNZ.com improvements

Let's get this off the ground...no-one seems to be sending PMs or e-mailing me on improvements on CNCNZ, so lets set up a discussion thread.

 

I was thinking about adding something that has been done for years on WWE wrestling, following Piper's pit, and Jerico's highlight reel where I will attempt to do an interview every week or fortnight where I will speak to people in the community, may it be Lion from CnC Den to perhaps say Aaron Kauffman the community manager for EA?

 

Any good ideas will be considered. Since it shouldn't be just what myself and Sonic want, we'd appriciate your feedback on how to improve CNCNZ.com

Don't leave out mod leaders; they're a part of C&C too.

 

That sounds like a good idea for my end. Besides, what kinds of ideas are you looking for?

Anything would be helpful, we'd like it to be something new and unique. Something that will perhaps move CNCNZ away from the usual content, but still remain an integral part of the site.

 

Most community sites have something unique, for example:

 

CnC Den - Lion's Daily Blurb

Planet CnC - Photoshop this

 

We need something to call our own, it can be as basic as Lion's blurb, or we could push the boat out a little and attempt something more community interactive like "Photoshop This".

CNCNZ has LiveWire and Webmaster's Wire. If you could 'spruce them up' a bit. I think that would be good.

A webmasters daily comment would be an interesting idea. I suppose it could be done, although I'd imagine myslef and Sonic will be fighting over it, unless we both go once a week and have 26 weeks each

CNCNZ has LiveWire and Webmaster's Wire. If you could 'spruce them up' a bit. I think that would be good.

LiveWire won't change, its part of the forums actually.

I could probably make it work through the news updating script. I'll play around with things and see what I can come up with.

I'll send them to Sonic by tomorrow - have to write instructions and make them user friendly :wink:, plus I'm right at the end of finals for college... just one more tomorrow, and another on monday, and I'm DONE for summer

Do you mean the main page of CNCNZ.com of the main index of the forum?

 

If you mean CNCNZ.com's main page they open a new window for a reason. So you don't leave the main site. No one has evern has problems or mentioned this before.

 

TIP, if you use Firefox and you have wheel button on your mouse click on the with the wheel and it will open in a new tab

We did once have that option, but no one ever bothered commenting on our posts. So we removed the option to do so. I suppose if there was enough call for it, we'd might consider reintroducing the comments section... but judging by our past experience... we probably won't anyway.

Make the option to upload an Avatar from your machine available for Sigs. I cant get my sig pic uploaded, even from my Freewebs.com site
