I have every C&C game ever made to my memory. might not played them all. Just tried Renegade yesterday and now addicted.

oh now i get what youre saying... that makes sence... I clicked on a thing that said "download a demo with three missions," and it only gave me one movie, and it was a file I couldn't even play!

Ok, heres my story, I have the actual disk, it just didn't work. so with DOS box it will work?

 

Also, I have Red alert 1, but it says "this is a windows 95 product only"

I have XP NOD Edition, and CnC TD and RA1 work.... its called NOD compatiblity mode. You switch it to NOD win. 95

 

I downloaded TD full-version. and I have the videos too.

 

 

Edit: 8. Extract "Thipx32.dll" contained in the zip file you download at the start of this guide to your Red Alert Directory, overwriting the existing Thipx32.dll. (Note this patch will disable network play for Red Alert under Windows XP).

 

I didn't have to do that. And if you guys get it working, play RA1 or TD with me online.

the better way to do this (it doesnt involve anything complicated, and in fact, XP was designed this way) is to right-click on the icon, whether its the install icon or .exe icon, and set it to run under compatability for WIN 95, do this for the shortcut on desktop too.

 

BTW this doesnt wrok for DOS versions, only for C&C95, C&C Gold,, Covert Ops for either, RA for Win, and expansions for either

Actually the most prudent way to go about this is just to simply use a computer with windows 95/98.

 

If you don't have a computer with windows 95/98 then stop complaining.. You fail to meet the required specs so yeah what do you expect... :P

hey dont say stuff bad about your self doing the compaiblity crud is easy as the brotherhood explained but if you want to get it to work at its best movies and all and if you have the cd its alot easier.

 

go to my computer you will see a funny cd icon right click on explore

go to c&c 95 right click on setup95 and create a short cut on the desk top

right click on propertys on the short cut and go to the compatiblity tab choose 95 or 98 then get out of that dubble left click on the short cut and isnstal normaly. hint: dont reinstall direct x if you do some high end games will not work on your computer. ok after the instaltion is finished go to google and search for C&C95 gold patch replace the files in the folder you instaled in with the patch files make a short cut to C&c 95.exe do the compatiblty thing and it should play well i did for me and if you want to know how to get ra1 and the expasion paks running say so and il be glad to help [/url]

Well, either way, I am going on vacation for 3 weeks, so I can come to cncnz on my aunts computer, but I won't be able to play the cnc game...
