Been playing it

 

Graphics are great and gameplay is realistic and cool. AI is good, i got killed plenty of times

 

There is a long loading time when u load the game for the first time, it has to opitimize performance

 

I tried online, and boy I had to wait. It took really really long to load.

Then i checked and saw there was loads of people online, something thousand servers the bar said. Stuck in my headset, it worked, now i just need to know how to use this voice-over-ip voice chat thingy

Man... I've spent most of the morning listen to a class mate ramble on and on about BF2...

 

So I'm put of the game now...

 

But I'll probably get the demo and check it out... Squad commander sounds cool..

Ive been playing it for the last hour and its fantastic! It might even replace counnter-strike as my online game. Also since i have it on full spects it looks amazing. I still cant fly the bloddy JSF though

And u need a joystick to fly airplanes and helos, same applies to BF 1942 and Desert Combat Mod for it

The JSF is on the US aircraft carrier. Ill setup my joystick for it tomorrow.

OMFG WTF. u lot need joysticks :lol: i use the w, a, s, d, left, up, down, right, , z, shift and space keys i fly the ddamn things fine and the carrier craft are both the same the arab air has a su 37 and a mig 29. i am ownin on that game i luv bein comander n artin the us carrier when its loaded and the BH is geting new men BOOM i got 12 ppl in one go

It depends how much you get into your games, some people opt for realism and attach all sorts of peripherals to their machine for the ultimate gaming experience... others are like you keyboard and mouse wil suffice.

no i belive its cos you cant use more than 2 fingers at a time like my dad i can use max 9 fingers (my right thumb just a little 2 short to hit the ctrl key and still feel comfortable) im sorry but i was OWNING the US planes in the su 37 which is a fighter bomber where as the us planes are air superiority explain that.

yeah..... i copied the demo onto a disc and gave it to him cause he cant download it on his 56k....or was it 28k?

The days of overnight downloading and when Renegade Alert took me at least 8 hours to download, those were the days.

 

Now for me a 300Mb download is over in less than half hour for me, probably less... shame I have a 1GB limit per day... it's not enough people!! :roll:

srry dude i just love my internet connection when i play battlefield 2 demo my ping is norm 14 but on gen it goes up to 105 cos the european servers are sooo rubish and are gona crap out on us.

Madbadger, are you sure your connection is 2 megabytes (mB)? And not 2 megabits (mb)? There is a difference.

 

My broadband connection is only 2 megabits, works out be 256k per second, although my line speed averages around 240k per second. 2 mb is the best residential plan available in New Zealand. For the record this quick 1 MB download speed test explains it....

Your line speed is approximately 2016.3 Kbps or 247.1 K bytes/sec

( Where kb = kilobits and kB = kiloBytes )

BTW for ultimate gaming ezpirirence use those visor thingies that you put on over your eyes and you get 360 degree vision. Sweetness.
