What was the very first C&C game you got/played?

My first C&C was actually my first computer game that I tried, and it was Tiberian Dawn.

 

Of course it was a pirated version that my friend had on floppy disks and we installed it with pkunzip (remember that?).

 

The first one I bought officially was Red Alert... I eventually bought every other C&C game out there (except Sole Survivor and Renegade). Tiberian Dawn was a lot more fun with its kick ass soundtrack

ah..hey Minh...a late congrats on the winning of the whole contest like 3 weeks ago....TD was my first and will always be my fav...i was 8 when TD came out and ive been a dedicated fan since..and im 18 now...ive been playing C&C for 10 years man...im a young vet hahaha..jk :lol:

I've only been on the Command and Conquer scene ever since Red Alert 2 came out. That was the first CnC game I ever got, and played. I've never played any of the previous titles, mostly because I'm too lazy and poor to go look for them and buy them. But hell, I make up for the lack of experience with the CnC series by absorbing the knowledge I get from reading about them, and from playing RA2, YR, Generals and ZH to bits.

The FIRST C&C!!!!

 

When it FIRST came out....

 

I was hooked like crack...

 

I played every C&C game that ever came out and even beaten all sides...

 

I am master of universe... you must all know this...

Command & Conquer for the PSX. Was hooked in seconds.

 

Got Command & Conquer for the N64 as well, which looked (graphics wise) a hell of a lot better, but with it being on a cartridge, the game was smaller with less tanks & stuff. There was no multiplay either.

 

The C&C on the PSX was, but you had to use the Link Cable, two PSX's & two tv's. I got a Link Cable, then my mate next door brought his PSX 'round and I stole my mum's TV from her room. The great thing about it was that the game was double disk, so we just put both disks in each PSX, booted the game, and were away.

The PSX being ... well, crap (now, back then it rocked) it would slow down once we'd both made huge bases & were kicking CPU ass but all in all, it rocked.

I remember one time we spent about 5 hours on one map making one huge base out of both our bases, then simply nuking the CPU off the map with every weapon we had. Spectacular? I'm suprised it didn't leave a crater... :lol:

i have been a fan of cnc since i was 5 years old i have every single cnc game except for the games that came out on playstation. even thou ea i think can't make a cnc game 4 **** i will still buy the games cos cnc is such a good series. oh yea my first cnc game was cnc dawn.

C&C TD for Sega Saturn. Then RA when that came out for PC. I remeber when I first played RA at my friends howse, we thought it was stupid cause we coulnt control the mouse very well. Then we got good. Then out came expansions, TS, FS and well, lets juts say back in the Days of RA LAN my friend got wasted. His dad played too, and one time we teamed up to defeat him. He was kinda surprised, but my friend was more supprised when my demo trucks and MAD tansk went off in his base 8)

 

Been a C&C veteran for 9 years now, wont be 10 until next June (I think)

September 1995. DOS C&C. Admitted, my brother bought it, but everyone here at home was addicted.

Heck, my mom could prolly still beat loads of in C&C, if she still played it 8)

 

Apart from Tiberian Dawn DOS Version - There is a way to get it working under XP, but the process is long winded, and even I could not be bothered to deal with that.

It isn't THAT long-winded... it's just setting up the sound emulator that takes a few lines of instructions.

 

Anyway... for anyone who's interested in trying it out...

...TS and especially Firestorm never needed Compatibility :?

And if they do seem to, install the 2.03 patch.
