C'mon, cheesy B-acting is what makes the C&C series what it is! Haha, and you have to admit, the women who play Zophia and Eva are pretty hot in RA2/YR. But that's me. Cheesy acting and cutscenes, but hell, I started playing RA2 that was a copied version, had no cut-scenes in it whatsoever, so when I finally got the real version, I was actually surprised at the acting. I've actually seen a few of those actors/actresses in a few movies. Udo Kier (I think that's the actor's name) who played Yuri, saw him in this freakingly cheesy movie about Earth being knocked sideways because of the moon. Crazy and silly. But hell, it had Yuri in it, playing a bad guy! Also saw the actor who played Dugan (president in RA2) in a old-looking movie where he was some sort of hardass detective. Had the whole Film Noir image about it.

No, C&C is NOT about cheesy acting, B-Acting yes, but not something that's deliberately cheesy like RA2, the original C&C, Red Alert and Tiberian Sun were all serious.

Red Alert 1 is the first C&C game I ever played, the second game I started playing after Transport Tycoon. Then a little TS then RA2, then some more TS. I received a good understanding of the C&C universe as soon as I accessed the internet for the first time which was 3 years later, in 2001. Using Kazaa I downloaded Tiberian Sun and completed the Nod campaign. Up to now I never saw any cutscenes. That changed when I aquired a copies of RA2 and YR on CDs. Finished the campaigns. I also played Generals and Zero Hour at the local internet cafe. A few days ago I downloaded the Tiberian dawn cutscenes from commandandconquer.filezone.com and used Kazaa to download Command and Conquer Gold...

All C&C works on XP, use win95 or 98 compatability

 

I first played TD back in 96 on the Sega Saturn at my friends. Then he got RA for PC, then he got TS for PC. Then I went and got RA, AM, TS, FS and beat em, then he got RA2 and YR, then I got them, and last year (or was 1.5 years ago?) I got Generals.

Thats why Kazaa and other sites should be shut down. There's no valid legal reason for them to exist. I've never downloaded any game thats not abandonware.

 

They should really shut down kazaa. They did that to the site that distributed SW 3, why cant they do that to all illegal download sites??

P2P is designed for sharing files between people. Thats valid. There is no reason why people shouldn't be allowed to do so.... Just because some people share things they shouldn't doesn't mean they should shut down all P2P networks... Good luck to them if they try anyway.

I don't give a damn how old the games are, its wrong. A true C&C fan would search the bargin bins at computer stores to find the classics.

right click on the shortcut icon, got to "compatability" and set it to run in either Win 95 or Win 98 and all old C&C will work under it.

Apart from Tiberian Dawn DOS Version - There is a way to get it working under XP, but the process is long winded, and even I could not be bothered to deal with that.

it doesnt have cutscenes as far as i can tell...its just the gameplay...kinda sucks with out them...but hell....i can live with no cutscenes..as long as i can play the game...im sure if u really wanted the scenes you could find them on the inet somewhere

 

and to the P2P illegal issuse or comment....P@P programs are legal...its jsut some ppl use them for download illegal stuff...its not the programs creaters fault....and the government cant do much to control it either so unfortuantly...it will continue until something new comes out....

 

and its not just P2P u have to worry about...i know a site..that if i wanted to...i could download Battlefrield 2 rite now...i wont b/c id rather not get in trouble for crap...but the government will and is going to have a hell of a time shutting these down...b/c they will jsut keep popping up....like hackings in starcraft...it dont matter how many time they patch the damn game..ppl are going to make new hack...so they just need to stop trying..and jsut start shutting down hacking sites
