I hate it when i go random general and it puts me aas air force. i never build air fields unless i have spare money. i also thought it would have been more appropriate for the air force to have the aurora alpha's.

That's what I thought too, however: The Aurora Aplha carries a Fuel-Air Bomb. The Fuel-Air Bomb is classed as a Superweapon. Therefore it goes to the Superweapon General, not the Airforce General.

Hehe, you can't win on just plain ground power alone when you play as the USA. Not normally anyway. You should mix in the USA's aircraft with your ground assualt, that way your opponent has to work overtime in order to defend himself.

I made that mistake, and I lost due to not being able to keep up with those bloody SCUD storms.

The whole Generals USA concept is Shock and Awe, something only capable with its airforce as a support battery. The ground assault spear heads and they combine to create a wholey versatile uhnit list thats going to kick all ass.

AF General is fantastic, my preferred USA General by far.

Pathfinders

Humvees

They were baalnced. The pathfinder was useless against Chinese Troop Crawler/Listening Outposts and was made obselete by Jarmen Kell or the Radar Van.

Paladins were good, but overlords were better. They were suitable for their role - like everything else in Generals. :D Rock, Paper, Scissors.

yup

Pathfinders do have one MAJOR advantage over Jarmen Kell though

theres more of them

the pathfinders come in handy when u play against a usa ai who decides that they can use their missle defenders laser lock on everything you own, including infantry and buildings.

hey, the reason i built those scud storms was because you built particles first remember? then i rebel ambushed you unguarded particle, captured and sold them.....

you had 2 or 3 particles before i took them out.... and i hit all your power plants with teh scuds..... no laser tank power......hehe

i used GLA radar scan to scan your entire base to find the juicest target

you were so close to winning....your first laser tank mass caught me off guard....you started destroying my base edges...took out the wf, bar, supplt stash...

then i scudded your power plants....and shut tehm all off....that gave me time to rebuild.....

did you know you kept me on edge with the laser tanks.... thats why i built so many stungers,,,,to protect against your laser tanks

Thats the beauty of Generals, it was so unpredioctable at times, but so volatile you were never certain of victory until you saw the words "You are victorious" appear on your screen.

Just one point per tank. It aint all bad

And who would leave a particle cannon uplink undefended???? :P

You could of atleast sold em when he was trying to capture em :P

AND build your power plant spread out, like near rivers or mountain edges  That way the enemy has to take more time killing your power while you kill him

Ya I know I shouldn't left my superweapons undefend and I know I shoulda spaced out my Power Plants..but it was a force of habit..playing against the AI does that. lol.

Hmm...would you like a rematch, Z? Next time you're online and I'm not about to work? PM me about it, I'm dying for another game to try and redeem myself. :P

did you know you kept me on edge with the laser tanks.... thats why i built so many stungers,,,,to protect against your laser tanks

I was going quite good with those tanks wasn't I? But then...BAM! Power down...lol...if you were there and you heard the words that were coming out of my mouth at the time you would've fainted or something...lol..

You could of atleast sold em when he was trying to capture em :P

Hush. >_< That was my first proper game online of ZH. :P

There is no best drone in my opinion, because in the end, they all provide soemthing good, and act as cannon fodder anyway.

I always equip the cheap scout drone to prevent attack by stealthed GLA, and because upgradiong an entire column of tanks costs much less than upgrading them with Hellfire drones.

Indeed, the cat deserves better but I have no beans to offer it....

...Drone fodder has cost me many base defences :(

That's why you have an in-base defence force...so they can wait by the base defences and give the attacking force a little bit of a headache. :P

My preferance? Well...that'd be telling of course...

Naturally that'd be telling...

I'll just say I'm a buff for gattling tanks and leave you with that.

Anyone got any good strategys involving drones? I know its unique when the USA face the USA n they all have drones...

well, gettin missile defenders ranked on drones is pretty funny

they should make a laser drone, liek a flying paladin laser for the vehicles protection

good idea methinks :D

The problem with that kinda drone is that it'll render Avengers and the Paladin's Missile Defence Laser obselite. It's a good idea, but remember that there are already two perfectly good ground units that come with that defence system free of charge and already on the vehicle itself.

As for USA vs USA strategies? Well, I'll only say one word: Avengers.

Build lots of them, if you can afford them, but make sure they're strategically planted around your base. They may not be able to stop Aurora's (both kinds), but hell they'll take apart any other aircraft in a manner of seconds. And you can expect alot of airstrikes from a good USA player.

One of the advantages of the Laser General: He pawns against the Airforce General. The only aircraft that can get through your defences safely are Aurora's, and since they're more expensive than an Avenger (especially Townes' ones), it's you're opponent who'll eventually suffer economically.

Okay, that wasn't involving any Drones, but since Drones are airborne ('cept for Sentry Drones 'o course) Avengers can take them down pretty quickly too, and stop the Hellfire Drone's missle.

So, go with Avengers. :P
