Fenring, I belive you are one of 3 people to know of a certain "upgrade" to Yuri Attack dogs that was orginally thought up for Conflict of Interests

 

Werewolf. Replaces dog. Much more useful for Yuri. Turns enemy troops into werewolves. Can use new wolves as grinder fodder or for power plants.

 

Unbalanced you say ? Think about it. Same armor and speed as dogs. Cept for swimming (maybe ranked dogs and wolves get swimming ??)

There's one problem: mine is just a dog. Nothing special about it and it's in just one game mode.

Am I allowed to post suggestions for this mod? If so, I'd say making flak troops deploy into a better flak based weapon? Something along the lines of the G.G.I? Their not really useful normally otherwise.

GGI = Guardian GI. Thats also the tag used in the ini files.

Trooper deployment is an Allied strategy and would throw the balance off a great deal since I moved Flak Troopers down the tech tree and bumped down their cost.

 

Also, you can post as many suggestions as you like. I'm always ready for new ideas. ;)

Apoc tanks - remove the missiles, they are allied tech. Use hyper flak or sumthin

 

Just an idea :wink:

Also-nuke tanks upgrade, all tanks have little radtiation when they explode and move fster, higher rof ect

nonono those are based off of old V2 design. Apoc missiles are like Patriot missiles, only better :P

Oops. Havent played straight YR in a long time. Im used to my Apocs from CoI :wink: (which BTW is going very slow, due to too many things going on at once. Im starting to get back into it, but having issues with things i dont even remember trying ot put in.)

Well if anything, my love for the old V2 rocket still makes me cry when I see the V3. Its slow, sure its powerful, but its lack of any kind making a hit in most games render it useless... a downgrade to the deadlier version in RA1?

 

(Sorry I keep suggesting stuff)

 

And as for the stuff I've already seen - thats awesome stuff though I have no clue how to do it, it looks like it must be hard in the art creation.

I've worked on the V3 a bit and it's quite a bit more fearsome since it can escape some AA fire. However, you have to use groups of 6 or more to have any effectiveness.

 

If anything, I could always make the V3 rockets immune to AA fire but somehow, that doesn't seem like it would be too balanced. Then again, the Prism Tank and Magnetron are direct fire, with no delay. It's an idea that I'll mess around with. ;)

 

Art creation is hard, which is why I stay clear of it... well, sort of. I've done some of the recolors and modified a few voxels, and I do 90% of the cameo work with help from others here and there.

 

Also, feel free to keep suggesting ideas. I'm always up for ideas. ;)

What about making the rocket super fast,like it should be and the way it is in real life,give it bugger range than the Magnetron and Prism tank and then giving it 10% weaker armour,slower,but also cheaper.What do you think?

can other units occupy buildings? :lol: (except the sniper and the virus)

 

other ideas:

chrono miner - have AA gun(noob thing)

nuclear reactor - more damage(noob thing)

battle fortress - make its armor more weaker(yeah i like that unit but it crashes the apocs which i don't like,unbalance)

cuba special unit(hijacker) - steals vehicles(i don't know if its possible but i think no)

v4 rocket - dual v3(stolen tech from eagle red)

yuri's naval AA - yuri doesn't have any AA naval unit(noob thing)

tech repair bay(i forgot its name) - instead of having patriot missile why put a gattling cannon(noob thing)

 

call me a noob if you don't like it its just my opinion

I have an announcement to make.Since Fenring didn't post all the info about YR:Enhanced over at PPM forums,I did.

 

BTW,why not make all infantry exept the Brutes and snipers garrison the buildings?That would surely give the game unique style (I know I'm doing it in Mahaira)...

Yeah and if you do that you may as well decrease the damage of garrisoned initiates, because that was quite unbalanced compared to GIs and conscripts. An elite Apoc could barely destroy a building full of them.

And also could give the civilians some sort of a rifle,instead of the simple gun...
