What's your life's dream?

War aint pretty. thats why i said i wouldnt mind being a commander

then again, if I was needed, I would go. Whether a cook, infantryman, commander, whatever

One of my grandpa's was a tank commander, the other fought the japs face to face in the pacific.

I think I would want to be a pilot in the air force also if I can't get the high paying job I want. All my ancestors that were in the USAF got really cool/important missions. Even if I didn't get into the USAF I could go into the military, my family has great luck with the military.

My great uncle bombed Berlin during WWII and they think that the bombs they dropped where 2-3 blocks away from Hitler. He had tons of freakin' AA holes in the plane...

And other stuff, only one out of 15 family members that have gone into war have been killed.

...it is interesting. Going to war is NOT a death sentence, any more than driving on a freeway here in America is :P

When you hear about all the bitching over the troops KIA over in Iraq, you have to consider that 2,000 deaths, while unquestionably a horrible loss, pale in comparison to the 140,000 + troops on the ground.

I would have to go on the freeway to sign up for the military so the odds would be...

2 Death/1 Life. :P

back to the topic...i found that taking hallucinogenic shrooms helped me ponder much about what my life means, what i want it to mean, what my dreams are, and if they had any substance..stuff like that...real deep...good deep for the most part

well Pot does the same thing.

PS if you want to relfect on life, go someplace quiet and out of the way, preferable off in the wilderness somewhere, and jsut sit and think. In like 20 min or so, you;ll be surprised.

Drugs do NOT broaden your consciousness, make you more creative, deepen your thinking, or any of those tired 60s era lies. Clear thinking does not come from the mental chaos induced by hallucinogens...

well yes you can do whatever you want sober.....but thats so mundane....and i can say from experience of being under the influence of magic mushrooms that they do make you think 'deeper' into yourself and i have read somewhere that it is a fact that when you are under shrooms influence you are separated from your ego...this i can back with full dignity......

and i did think VERY clear the last time i took shrooms. as for being more creative..not really..did any of you ever try them??????

Would any of you be willing to try a big glass of arsenic "just once?" :P

Redasblood, you need to get your facts straight here. There has never, ever been a scientific study (besides junk science by stoners) that backs up your claim. Certain drugs, in a VERY controlled environment, can allow for clearer thinking (Adderall, Ritalin, certain methamphetamines, etc), but you doing shrooms in a friend's basement.... sorry dude, but that does nothing for you except contribute to your mental destruction. You may feel smarter and deeper, but really you're accomplishing nothing. Your brain's pleasure centers are being stimulated for some artificial fun, so.... have fun with that. As for me, I think I'll go out and accomplish something.

well first BWare and everyone makes a TRUE point in saying that drugs is not needed to better oneself. but i personally must disagree that destruction of the brain doesn't in any way lead to ANY reconstruction...no drugs expands my mind or consciousness or even mantality(spelling). Although for me doing mushrooms OCCASSIONALLY is beneficial to my understanding of the people that do it for self-betterment and for religion(ive read many places that some natives do Shrooms in tradition,in whateever country). i think it is good to understand a substance that is known to be a drug that people take. i like to see why people take select drugs...i do not do many various drugs..just a very few select ones such as mary J(pardon slang in this serious matter), shrooms, and alcohol. it was always around me in my generally big area(as in NYC). and based on my experiences with drugs IN MODERATION WITH PRIOR KNOWLEDGE OF ALL CONSEQUENCES, i think i have chose wisely to ingest such substances. If i knew someone well and thought they could handle Shrooms in the manner it should be, I'd recommend it to be tried only once and then ask them what they got out of the experience. If i see that they got anything negative out of it i'd use my superior powers of persuasion to fix any present problem....BANG YEA THAT's WUT IM TALKIN ABOUT NO REBUTTAL THERE  yes yes yall...how wus that honesty lol?

Hm. Thanks for that king

I think you're missing the subtle humor there in the spelling/grammar correction anyway... most of the time I'm just having fun with it.

but i personally must disagree that destruction of the brain doesn't in any way lead to ANY reconstruction...

Hate to break this to you dude, but the brain is physically incapable of reconstruction. When you're done developing, cells in the nervous system hit their G0 phase, and that's all she wrote. When a nerve (brain) cell dies, that's it. No replacements, no reconstruction, nothing. When you use drugs that aren't controlled by our FDA, you can't possibly know their actual consequences, short or long term! You sound like you're good at rationalizing it, but I would argue that nothing good- at all- comes from drug use. Period.

I do see where you're coming from, but I really don't think that anyone can truly be mature or calculating enough to use those drugs effectively or responsibly. Nothing against you

well put i understand lol  .....ive seen a couple of articles telling about the consequences...and plus the unknown is very intrigueing to me... 8)....i found my experiences beneficial. BWare if you ever did them id have to be there to see...and ask you what you were thinking....

lol and it is to my understanding that brain cells are the worste things to waste but the most enjoyable expense ever lol.still drugs make ya dumb even some gov. approved ones.
