Technically, you are not the only one on your continent. NZ and Oceania are considered part of the Australian continent.

Hmm there is a reason why greenland isnt considered a microcontinent but i cant remember it off the top of my head.

Greenland (Greenlandic: Kalaallit Nunaat, meaning "Land of the Greenlanders"; Danish: Grønland, meaning "Greenland") is a self-governed Danish territory. An Arctic island nation located in the continent of North America, both geographically and ethnically; politically and historically, however, Greenland is closely associated with Europe.

I just went to wiki so the info on greenland could be wrong.

Its never included in NA maps in books or atlases, So I assumed it wasnt considered NA. Then again, I think it does rest on one several NorthAmerica Tectonic plates...oh well. Not that it matters, I was just curious 'bout all that anywho...

there is no clear definiton on continents anyhow. there are multiple ways of defining it. Education systems from various countries teach differing continental boundries as well as different continents (some consider America to be one continent). Continental boundries can also differ some based geographical seperations and others on geological differences such as tectonic plates.

such as the Europe/Asia and Asia/Africa "border"

good point. So is Oceania considered sub-sub continent where you come from? Or how is all of that worked out ?

Oceana is considered a geograhical region not a continent. As far as im aware of no culture defines it as a continent but will often include new zealand and new guinea as part of continent of Australia. That is where the term Australasia comes from but the Kiwis dont like that name. Alo Australia is not technically apart of Oceana but is often included as it makes things easier.

It never does. Hence why my one says, "Auckland, Auckland, New Zealand" instead of "Takanini, Auckland, New Zealand". Hopefully they'll add in places properly.
