I agree with king, very perceptive. To me the tank has too many similar characteristics to nod tanks from TS to be a GDI unit.

I say this is tehir big break. EA is aware of several various "hope-dashers" over the years, including horrible pranks that were admirably pulled off (for a very short while anyway) about releases of new C&Cs, I really dont think that EA wants to hurt their public image by giving us more "hope" and then dashing it.

 

Then again, it might just be lost concept art.

With all of the horrible (& blatently obvious) bugs in TFD you can add that to the dashed hopes (sure they'll fix most of it but the fact that it shipped with so many problems is horrible for their image.)

 

Actually as stated in the Petro interviews they had a lot of Continuum working:

I still find it strange though. Why include old unused concept art in pack of games that doesn't really feature them. The Ion Cannon pic looks to new to be considered old concept art.

These pictures are not concept art, these are digital Renders. The only way you get these renders is if the concepts are finalised and added to main game construct.... Therefor into the Beta stages..

 

Fact: Westwood's C&C 3 never made it to this Beta stage. If it had, we would of heard an official announcement of the game.. Now I'd like Aaron to rephrase those words to: These are Digital Renders from the *cough* next C&C game... :wink:

This is a bit of a funny one ay.

On one hand, why would you celebrate a bunch of previous games with renders of equipment which never really appeared in any of the games?

On the other hand, its a little too subtle to even be a hint at all, and they do resemble the Ion Cannon and Stealth Tank.

Sounds amusing doesn't it... But to go through hundreds of lines of source code to route out a particular problem isn't easy. Considering there's no one at EALA who made these games, (exception of RA2 & Generals) I'm hardly suprised. :roll:
