Sonic 295 Posted March 9, 2006 I've had this annoying pain in my neck since Christmas. It got a bit worse over the past week. Did a bit Googling around. All symtoms point to this.... Pain in the neck can be due to injury, a mechanical or muscular problem, a trapped nerve caused by a bulge in one of the discs between the vertebrae.- It can range from very mild discomfort to severe, burning pain. - If the pain is 'acute' - sudden and intense - it is called a crick in the neck, facet syndrome or muscular rheumatism. - If the pain has lasted more than three months, it is termed 'chronic' neck pain. - Most people will experience pain in the neck at some point in their life. More info: http://www.netdoctor.co.uk/diseases/facts/neckpains.htm I'm no doctor, hate doctors anyway. But I'm picking I've got a Slipped Disc at the back of my neck, top the spine. I guess if gets worse I will have to get it checked out by a professional. Anyone else had some nasty injuries either currently or in the past? Share this post Link to post
TheBlackOut 7 Posted March 9, 2006 Me and my friends were playing hockey. I got slashed right above the eye and was gushing blood, and then I had to get stiches. You know how annoying those things are everytime you blink? Grr. Oh, and also fell of my van while washing the roof of it. Slide down the windshield and hit the concrete flat on my back. (Just hurt and knocked the wind out of me for at least 1 hour...) Share this post Link to post
Tree 0 Posted March 9, 2006 I broke my arm falling off of this thing: http://www.ncisolutions.com/misc/P1010090.JPG Anyone in the Rochester, NY area might recognise it. Share this post Link to post
Inferno 22 Posted March 9, 2006 I broke my leg once when I was falling off a bike, my leg kinda got stuck under it :x Share this post Link to post
Luk3us 63 Posted March 9, 2006 I've never broken a single bone in my body. Worst thing that ever happened to me was falling off a slide when I was 4. I got I think 10 stitches in my head, and then I fell this big ass fort and landed on this pointy bit of playground equipement, I was 12. That time I got like 17 stiches in my head.... It'll be cool when I shave all my hair off. There will be these two big ass scars in my head. lol. Share this post Link to post
BWare 0 Posted March 9, 2006 I'm no doctor, hate doctors anyway. That sucks though man. Good luck with that... I've never broken a bone either. Well, I did break my middle finger playing football. It got really swollen after a bad tackle and I just thought it was sprained, so I kept playing on it and re-injuring it. After football season was over, I noticed that the swelling hadn't gone down. It was at that point I realised that the swelling was solid bone  I still get shots of pain from it occasionally, and it pops whenever I move it. Share this post Link to post
Luk3us 63 Posted March 9, 2006 I'm just more careful. Besides I get injured all the time during the rugby season. Its just I never break anything thats all. Share this post Link to post
Sonic 295 Posted March 10, 2006 When I was 9 or 10, hard to recall, I was hit by an on-coming van. Don't remember much about the accident, stepped of the curb, BOOM!, totally blank, then came to on the way to the hospital, looking up and seeing my Dad, another complete blank, woke up the next morning with stiches on my forehead, blood in my hair and a massive headache. The scar can still be seen. To this very day I still don't know where the van came from. I count myself very lucky, it could have been worse. I guess I'm on borrowed time now. Tree 0 Posted March 10, 2006 I got ran over in 8th grade. By my brother  . He was giving me a ride to the bus stop and he was like "I'm not going to slow down, so you're going to have to jump." I thought he was serious, so I did. Upon impact with the ground, my feet came out from under me and he ran over my legs. All I got were a few scratches though... Share this post Link to post

Koen 2 Posted March 11, 2006 Sonic, could also be muscle tensions or something similar "RSI-related". Or not. I don't know how stiff your muscles are, but a good docter should be able to feel where the problem is (you know... by him touching and you saying ouch). Share this post Link to post
Acerz492 1 Posted March 11, 2006 Lesse, injuries... I've had both my legs broken when I was little. Some massive fat kid decided to slide-tackle me for no apparent reason. Of course, instead of slide-tackling he did a flying kick thing which snapped my right thigh bone, and I landed in such a way that my lower leg bones in my left leg snapped. I still have problems with them today. I've also had my right arm broken in two different places on two seperate occasions, had both my thumbs broken, been pushed through a glass window with nothing but a small cut and two stitches on my left elbow, punched in right side of my face so hard that my skin split, resulting in another two stitches almost directly under my eye; fallen over with a glass bottle in my right hand, slicing up my thumb pretty bad, sliced my right index finger open with a fish filleting knife, fallen out of a tree when I was little, blacked out for 2 days. I've had my back jumped on in a scrap at primary school, resulting in me wearing a neck brace for three weeks. Funny thing about that, all the kids in my class thought I had died. Hmm....what else.... That's about it I think. Hehe, I've been in the wars haven't I? Share this post Link to post
Luk3us 63 Posted March 11, 2006 See what happens when you live in Dorkland? See.. Can you see!!! Share this post Link to post
