I know it's a bit old but I think this is going a bit over the line. I mean, alcohol impairs judgment and if the women readily admit to consuming such, then they lose all credibility as far as I'm concerned. If you get hammered and this happens, deal with it. Fenring, I couldn't agree more. If women don't want to be taken advantage of, they SHOULD NOT put themselves in such a compromising position. Having sex with a drunk girl is NOT date rape. Speaking of drunks, 2 nighbors of my drummer (noth of them 17, not bad looking) were drunk, they told us that we had to play for their party next weekend. Of course, the drummer, being totally clueless (no joke, he has null common sense) said yes. Later on I told him, "you know Matt, they were drunk. And we have no business playing a show in a pothouse (I have no idea if it is or not, but those 2 are known sluts). Anywho, he was like "o yeah, your right I guess"

I do not consider myself a Feminazi, but the desicion to take advantage of a man or woman is not and will never be yours to make. It can be justified in any way, shape or form, it is rape. That is the legal definition of it. Women have the responsibility to not allow themselves to become drunk, but it is the duty of bar staff and those who serve them alcohol to not let them have so much that they do not have any control. To say that women who get themselves drunk have it coming is a Islamic and Muslim way of thinking. Islamic leaders believe that women who do not wear abayas or berkas deserve to be raped. Get real. These girls who get hammered often start coming on to light posts. For one loser to take advantage of that... hell, the girl is basically consenting at the time! I don't see how you can call that a rape just because she ends up regretting it later.

 

You're basically wanting a consequence free environment here. The risks involved in a girl drinking a quart of vodka are the likely chance that an equally slammed guy will get a little friendly. This is not a planned rape- this is an unfortunate side effect of alcohol abuse. I just don't see how you can honestly consider that a rape. Again, like I said before- act like a moron if you want, but don't come crying when you get smacked by the reality of your own stupid actions.

How many here have steped over/passed some girl passed out in the gutter without a thought to how the hell shes getting home? I know i have. Something may have happened to that girl later on which may not have occured if i had stoped....... but then again....... how am i to know that i wouldnt get In trouble by helping her up? she might wake up and just scream rape. Why the hell should the bar staff care? If you drink twice as much as everyone else thats twice as much money in their pockets. Yes bar staff should stop serving if you get wasted but face it moneys money whether its from a drunk girl or a sober girl.

Going back to badger's talk about passing over some one passed out in a gutter...even if you stop, someone else will think you're taking advantage of them.

 

People are stupid, and thats a fact of life. Personally, if i found someone passed out in a gutter, id probably take not of the location and call the cops from down the sidewalk. Granted, it would be a tip off as opposed to the ems number, but still.
