TheBlackOut 7 Posted June 18, 2006 wait wait but what if the scrin are huge towering monsters with cybornetic abilities like laser cannons built into horse like creatures No. Just no. Now be quiet, EA might be reading that. Share this post Link to post
Saracen 16 Posted June 18, 2006 No, The Scrin are insect style humanoids with some cybernetic implants to improve their battlefield abilities. The basic units have bio suits, and look quite mechanical and evil, where their more advanced units are more insect like and can hover, and have the ability to wipe entire armys off the map in seconds. King, did they mention anything about "old abandoned bases"? You know how in TS you would stumble across a base from TD, and maybe even a few surpises within (3 Mammys final GDI mission, anyone?) Nope, heard nothing about older bases. I think they'll play a bigger part than in TS, but I'm not sure if EA will include them yet. Share this post Link to post
Cygnus X-1 12 Posted June 18, 2006 Very Interesting revelation there. Intriguing.... Share this post Link to post
Guest MadBadger Posted June 20, 2006 No' date=' The Scrin are insect style humanoids with some cybernetic implants to improve their battlefield abilities. The basic units have bio suits, and look quite mechanical and evil, where their more advanced units are more insect like and can hover, and have the ability to wipe entire armys off the map in seconds.[/quote'] Ahemm *coff* *coff*........ I wana be Scrin, kill the puny humans! as for that 'translation' >_< * prerau-visible date of publication will be sometime in 2007. Release date '07 sometime (or summertime) * the light tank of the GDI should be called Predator. GDI Light tank (guessing the one with 1 cannon and the rocket) is the Predator * the zones friendly to life are called " blue zones " and will accommodate no Tiberium, the " yellow zones " are mixed use areas and the " red zones " one can safely call Tiberium desert. 3 Zones -Blue- Humans live here -Yellow- Some TB here -Red- EVIL RUN AWAY.... unless your scrin * there will be no comeback of the blue Tiberiums. What is not called, however, yet that there will be no alternative Tiberium! No blue TB  but not said that there is not an alternate TB * Command and Conquer Tiberian Twilight will remain for good a myth. Tiberium Wars will probably be called also the sales version. EA will milk the series for all It can.... so no Twilight in sight * we may be glad about a return of the Ingeneure, they will be unarmed like anyhow and jeh and have to conquer the ability opposing buildings. Engineers!!!!! w00t!!!!! just the same as normal * the unities will be complementary in formations mutually and receive special bonuses, one is able to do, for example, a marksman because of his big sight to the clarification. However, there should be no "trans-moulders" unities. Units will be able to use formations(?) and gain bonuses (like hord bonus i suppose and prop tower) No Trans-mutate ability (?) * Resources will be, as usual, an energy by power stations and Credits by collect Tiberium. Power from..... you guessed it..... Donkeys.... sorry I mean Power plants And Cash from..... Pimping.... I mean Tiberium :? (soz again) * EALA has to invite before the Community to Communitydays to Los Angeles and to collect thus direct feedback and to let flow in into the play. EA gona invite peeps to pre-test..... bloody better as we all know EA testers are all ****e brain dead monkeys * buildings will be take from the Infantrie. Inf gona be able to either capture buildings ZH style or Garrison ability * the new pit bull's jeep of the GDI should be felt to the Humvee. GDI Jeep = Hummer but ghey..... better not be like the fcking hummer or EA gona start losing buildings to arson attacks * The K.I. should be adjustable, on the one hand, classically (Easily, now means, Hard), but also the behaviour of the K.I. one should be able to choose. It adapts herself to your play way or is rather a Rusher or is based with pleasure a big thick base with all kinds of defensive potential. If you pussy you can get AI to stay in its base and bunker. Or go pro and have the AI attempt to attack you. * there will be three campaigns which are divided in each case into from five to seven so-called " theatres of Were " which are divided again into a certain number of non-linear missions. One should be able to select himself at the beginning whether one starts with GDI or NOD, but one should be able to play the third campaign only by previous playing through of other both campaigns. 3 Campaigns (1 for each side) Divided into 5-7 (I'd guess 6) theaters of war and again into more missions. cna pick GDI/Nod from start Scrin an unlock team. * With the unity design part is oriented itself by the first C&C. Units gona be like in TD (but im guessing looking slightly better) * eight players on-line and on the network with concurrent VOIP Support should be possible. If EA gets off its ass upgrades the servers might be able to have 8 player games with VOIP which will grind to a halt when the litte 12yo bstrd has a 2kb modem or starts singing Rasmus to us >_< * NOD should be able to move with his complete base and there will probably be in any case a revival of Nod-Mod and Stealth tanks. Nod can move whole base S-tanks return..... dunno wtf 'Nod-mode' is * the Observermodus should offer features like reporter's comments and graphic emphasis of key scenes. Guessing this about ingame breifing/mission accomplished * Tiberium Wars should get a C&C typical Gameplay, i.e. liquidly and quickly and with it the reality becomes, the inputs of the player should be checked more often to reach such quicker conversion in the play. C&C style game play that goes FLUIDLY and what you do is checked and the CHANGES gameplay. * the legend engine should be improved from that point of view to offer quick loading times, to potter around still better graphic arts and to guarantee a better Handling of masses of unities. SAGE engine gona be pwnage with quick loads and HUGE FCKING BATTLES WITH LIKE LOTS OF S*IT GOING DOWN!!!!!11111 *in the " theatre of Were " one should be able to play certain intermissions to work certain advantages for the final mission. But one must not necessarily play the intermissions to be able to play the final mission. Special missions to gain bonus units/stuff for the uber battle at the end * Infantrie will be able to fire from the troop transporters and one should be able to take even harvest vehicles with Infantrie for the protection. crapcrapcrapcrap nooooooooooooooooo!!!!!!......... ahhh yeah..... n00bs with hummers still gona be here  but your harvister can have inf riding shotgun * there will be definitively a return of the Sidebar and she will adapt herself with the resolution. Either the sidebar gona be a lady or its gona just return and look better at higher resis (rember how unit images get stupid small at larger resis) * a return of the C&C to typical videosequences there will be, with actors, gerenderte cut Scenes before and after a mission as well as small videos during a mission. Vidieo breifing no crappy ingame briefs.... (hehe playing RA soviet campaign right now... bout mission 11 loving it seeing Kane apear from time to time..... and the blond birds bloody hot I'd forgoten her!!!) * The weather should be influenceable, on the one hand, from the player and unities should react to certain weather situations (ion storms) individually with advantages and disadvantages. Basicly 1 side gona have weather control, If you have hover units they gona get pwned by ino storms again, radar gona go, Some units get stupid mad good bonus. * there will virtually be an improved version of the ring war mode of battle around middle earth 2 and this is called quite simple "World Domination". W00T!!! Decent non-campaign related game..... online mode * the third faction will not be Yuri. The other bald bstrd wont return!!!! * The Tiberium story will not end to Tiberium Wars, one wants to keep open to himself little back door for a possible continuation! Like i said EA gona milk TB as much as it can * of the Juggernaught known from Tiberian Sun Firestorm a comeback will celebrate with the GDI who does not know him, it was a Mech with 3 siege artillery cannons. Pfft some pussy GDI unit returns *There will be a universal Repair vehicle which can also discover invisible unities in the stationary mode, can defend itself with anti-aircraft rockets and one should be able to build round this vehicle defensive storms. The name of the nevertheless very innovative unity: Rig! Some sort of deployable supply center (like the ones from RA with a patriot and you can repair units on) called rig (wtf? ) Maybe sorta like a dozer and you can build Defenses around it when deployed...... Wow England are winning V Sweden (A.Cole scored) and I done this.... meh.... -edit- fck me.... Long init lol! Share this post Link to post
Cygnus X-1 12 Posted June 20, 2006 Very nice translation. Although the thing with unit formations is off, its supposed to be talking about merging units to create ubber units. Kinda surprised you missed that. Then again...prob had 5 too many anyway  Share this post Link to post
rEdaSbLood 1 Posted June 20, 2006 why would all of the forgotten be highly mutated...? im sure there are newly mutated humans that look like Umagon and whatnot Share this post Link to post
Cygnus X-1 12 Posted June 20, 2006  the translation was bad, transmutation is supposed to be unit combinations Share this post Link to post
rEdaSbLood 1 Posted June 21, 2006 no no lots of people are saying that the forgotten would be totally mutated... thats bogus...there would definitely be newly mutated humans...its not like the forgotten consists of one generation Share this post Link to post

Cygnus X-1 12 Posted June 21, 2006 no no lots of people are saying that the forgotten would be totally mutated... thats bogus...there would definitely be newly mutated humans...its not like the forgotten consists of one generation Im thinking some of the TS mutants survived, but not many. Remember Umagon in the cage? Forgotten that became so durring hte time of TW would be less mutant I would think, but perhaps near the end of the game or in the expansion pack, what with the arrival of the Scrin and with GDI's recovery efforts being hampered by the loss of the Philly and subsequently hte Tacitus, perhaps there will be a relapse into a TS-esque world of Tiberium ravages. Guest MadBadger Posted June 21, 2006 A poorly translated English version, into a Badger version of English? Is that a good thing really? sorta just for a laff Ohhh Snap.... EA seems to have forgoten something.... Please read this it seems important.... The TB's radioactive qualitys don't explain the forgoten.... Remember that EA got some MIT boffs To make up what TB is? What we have is that TB relaeses radiation when certain particles hit it.... Umagon If you remember had TB crystals imbeded in her skin like a few other of the forgoten.... now do you think GDI would let them near if they were giving out radoactive particles? TB emits all types aparantly so thats gona fck a forgoterns brain right up! TB cannot work via this 'Radiation' idear no matter how fcking smart you are it cannot work! Im thinking.... TB might 'create' some sort of mutation toxin when it leaches heavy metals from the soil and absorbs them (heavy metals being valuble and giving TB its cash value) It Must emit vast amounts of this stuff so that inf going onto a TB field un-armoured die in minutes and trun into a blob of living viscous matter. (extreame mutation) The forgotten must have lived in areas where the TB meteorites landed and recived small doses from the TB that imbeded into them. Radioactive mutations take waaay too long to occur as it has with the forgotern (a time of decades at the most, too short for radiactive mutations) Radiation normaly affects DNA and mostly disables your immune system so you die from a cold or something. This whole radiation idear is too stupid TBH and so it must be some form of Toxin. Im guessing the Toxin affects Carbon based life as it has affected all life on earth. Im betting the Scrin are Sillicon based life forms so they would be naturaly weaker than a human in 1 on 1 combat. Which is why they require suits and huge uber tanks (like King said ) Radiation would affect a sillicon based life form as much as it affects us so there would be no point in the Scrin infecting the planet with radiactive TB (pushing my case for a Toxin TB further) Share this post Link to post
Cygnus X-1 12 Posted June 21, 2006 THANK YOU FOR PUTTING THAT INTO WORDS!!!!! If we all play the TD and TS storylines, we all know that Tiberium spreads via "spores". Hence the Blossom trees and the fact that the crystals can slowly spread on their own. None of this radiation crap. The MIT students tried, but failed to look back on what Westwood already published concerning the makeup of Tiberium. Plus the radiation would have killed all of the trees and plants, not turned them into Tiberium Ripairus'. And I still want to know what happened to the vienhole monsters.... Share this post Link to post
BWare 0 Posted June 21, 2006 HELL YES BADGER AND CYGNUS. This is exactly the problem I've been talking about. The whole "radioactive" thing is ridiculous. Tiberium replicates through far more organic means than transmuting matter. The new idea is kind of interesting, but for Tiberium? You have to be kidding me. And yes, radioactivity doesn't cause mutations. It kills things, plain and simple. The only (real world) "mutations" it causes are cancer. Also, they're talking about Tiberium being used as an energy source. When did this ever happen?? It isn't an energy source! It's valuable because of the metals and other precious materials it leeches (ORGANICALLY) to its crystals... not because it can power your tanks  Share this post Link to post
Renegangsta 0 Posted June 21, 2006 but cant radiation be used as a power source? Share this post Link to post
TheBlackOut 7 Posted June 21, 2006 but cant radiation be used as a power source? You haven't played any of the originals, so you wouldn't know, so zip it. Share this post Link to post
Guest MadBadger Posted June 21, 2006 but cant radiation be used as a power source? nope w00t physics revision time! (i gota exam.... I'll use this post as an excuse to use the computer ) Nuclear power plants use Uranium. The uranium nucleus has a neutron ( smashed into it causing it to decay. This Decay releases radiation, a neutron + energy (energy is due to the fact a nucleus has more energy than matter and when the nucleus is broken down extra energy is released) Its the energy that heats the water in the generator which powers the turbines. The radiation is just a by-product. (the neutron released is used to cause another uranium nucleus to decay) (a nucleus is the bit inside an atom) any other Q's just ask @TSBO.... leave the poor child alone.... least he hasn't mentioned supply piles he knows somink about TB at least, He was refering to Radiation from the TB being used and got confused about how nuclear power works.... not that its that hard to get confused TB is more of a biological entity than what EA's MIT peeps are saying. hense the trees & spores which are all part of TB. Technicly the 'Crystals' could be related to plant cells TB spreads like a plant..... Also remember the 'trees' that 'spat' out TB creating a field..... thats so fckin biological its stupid..... Maybe the 'trees' spit out the crystals containing the metals because the metals arn't used and the TB 'trees' might just leach all out the soil including nitrates and amonia which the 'tree' uses so the crystals are essentualy feaces containg all usless by-products including the metals. Maybe the Crystals have this radioactive quality and its the tree spores that create mutatuions? If its the 'tree' spores that cause mutations and the crystals radioactivity might be behind killing infanty and turning them into the blobs.... or rather a giant cancerous blob Share this post Link to post
Cygnus X-1 12 Posted June 21, 2006 No, cause the radiation would just kill the trees, not mutate them into blossom trees. Anyone remember the 10th GDI mission on TD where over on the right you can watch a tree mutate ingame into a blossom tree? Pretty cool. And the pit of evolution is more full of life than a friggin rainforest. Dont go radiating that one on me that its not bilogical. Share this post Link to post
rEdaSbLood 1 Posted June 22, 2006 yea im guessing pure tiberium is almost like a virus... for example, in Spiderman the substance that makes up VENOM basically adapts to whatever host it encounters first...(spiderman) in a similar way...tiberium changes plants and humans in different ways based on how it reacts individually...not with radiation and whatnot there was never any radiation involved in tiberium...THATS BS at one point i had this idea that tiberium was the alien (scrin even) itself... Im betting the Scrin are Sillicon based life forms na...if the Scrin were silicon based they would most probably be too slow....actually realistically it could work but it would have taken 5-10x longer than humans for scrin to evolve to a sufficient point to have such advanced tech... um yea...i saw it on TV (discovery i think)...they talked about if there could be life based on other chemicals besides carbon...and the only likely substanve would be silicon...now that would make sense especially with the Scrin's cybernetic qualities... there are so many ways they can go with this game to make it sensible and awesome, but its starting to seem that EA has too much influence in the making....they are toying with it too much... LIKE IMMATURE, SELFISH, POSSESSIVE CHILDREN GRABBING BACK THEIR GAME FROM WESTWOODYS Share this post Link to post

BWare 0 Posted June 22, 2006 yea im guessing pure tiberium is almost like a virus... I've always seen Tiberium as a mystical substance that has biological properties (spores, progressive mutations, etc), physical properties (accumulation of precious metals into the actual crystals), and even semi-spiritual properties. The substance, while observable scientifically as a crazy new radical in the ecosystem, is really moving and acting together almost sentiently to transform Earth into an entirely new system. It's powerful, mystical stuff.... but EA is simplifying it and watering it down. The technical mumbo jumbo from the MIT scientists (oooohhh!) really isn't that deep or impressive from what we've seen. What they're doing is sterilizing the brilliant concept of Tiberium. um yea...i saw it on TV (discovery i think)...they talked about if there could be life based on other chemicals besides carbon...and the only likely substanve would be silicon...now that would make sense especially with the Scrin's cybernetic qualities... Well, if life were based on the element silicon, it wouldn't give them "cybernetic" qualities. Just because we use silicon to make electronics doesn't make the element inherently electronic. It's just a type of atom. But yeah, silicon is somewhat similar in how carbon works and reacts in nature. That would be interesting... and we should remember that clip from C&C where Dr. Mobius talks about how Tiberium isn't carbon-based, and is in fact hostile to all carbon-based life. I think that the Scrin and Tiberium should really transcend the traditional rules of life. To them, carbon-carbon interactions (or silicon-silicon, if you will) are merely tools. They're somehow not limited by it- like quasi-gods. Share this post Link to post
rEdaSbLood 1 Posted June 22, 2006 .....hm..interesting Just because we use silicon to make electronics doesn't make the element inherently electronic no..but since silicon is used in computers Scrin would be more tolerant to it..eh? Share this post Link to post
BWare 0 Posted June 22, 2006 Just because we use silicon to make electronics doesn't make the element inherently electronic no..but since silicon is used in computers Scrin would be more tolerant to it..eh? Nope. They would have nothing to do with each other. It's like saying a jet engine with parts made by GE is more compatible with light bulbs made by GE. They're somewhat related in name, but in reality aren't at all. Also, you're assuming that the Scrin are using silicon chips. That's a very wild assumption. Silicon chips, by Scrin standards, are very lame technology. Share this post Link to post
