C&C games never change....

Recommended Posts

Guest The Ghost

Plz, everyone hear me...

Have you all noticed? C&C games dont change at all over the years, they just add new units, graphics and side features.... they'll never change.

Never!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

They need to add something new... not a new Tiberian sun, not generals 2... something new...

they ought to change the overall gameplay, that never changed at all above all else, they ought to make it realistic(YES! REALISTIC I SAID!)

they need to change this game, im never buying another one till they do

C&C generals/RA1 & 2/TS= no difference but units/graphics

Saddest thing of all... game uses the same tactics as the first, yes very first C&C game, Build up hundreds of tanks/superweapons then rush

And you all know im right, I hope EA hears this those stupid b******

But all RTS games are just improvements over the years. Look at Warcraft to Warcraft3.. Even First Person games are the same. Half-life, Halo, Delta Force, Duke Nuke'm and Doom. Graphics seem to be the thing of tomorrow. Where I'm still back in the game-play ... which is what makes a game. Nintendo 64's Goldeneye to the FF series to Atari's Pac-man. You will see such stars as Mario, link, sonic, snake, and others be reborn in any system. Just like music and movies everything seems to grow off the original. Redone with better technology. Most of which is crap IMO.

But for some who are new with a game system or PC. This is their first experience at the game. Not knowing of it's history and for some who seem not to care.

Look how many spin-off's from certain games that started it all. Mortal Kombat and Street Fighter Started those fighting games. Resident Evil with the "you can survive horror era." Doom with the first person action game. Tetris with it's puzzles.

The C&C games do have the repeat value in them. I thought WW/EA wised up about that when they released Renegade. But RTS seems to be in the blood when Emperor Dune came out and then Generals.

Who knows what they are going to do with a company that had so much potential only a couple of years ago. It seems EA has lost there old "If it's in the game. It's in the game" attitude. Now all they seem to produce is junk that has so many bugs/patches that's not even funny. We can only hope the next game from them will put them back on your top personal pick list. I agree completely...

They should make a C&C game where strategy isnt so simple that I could beat it if I was 5 years old, cause trust me... I played the first 1 when I was about 7-8 and it was too easy!

Anyway, SOMETHING needs to change

Something needs to change, yes. If EA won't change, then maybe we should just change and start playing other kinds of games (RPGs/arcade adventures for example). I really enjoyed Beyond Good And Evil and Worms 3D lately... made me realize I enjoyed Zero Hour a lot less, which I enjoyed more than Generals though.

Write to them then and not here....

If they suck so bad why play them?

And why change something that doesnt want to be changed. If it works then they keep it the way they have. There is no reason to change game play. That doesnt make sense. The type of game in multiplayer is always and will foever be the same.

As far as the single player mode it is not easy on Hard... what are you playing it on?

They have added alot more to it from the first one, and if you knew anything about how games where made and who tests them etc, you would have more reason to like it then to bash it.

Just uninstall it....

If you're so wise how would you stop early rushes? Of course games don't change - but that do have modifications, Generals Challange mode for example. Noone's gonna change anyting untill sales slump.

That's nonsense and you know it,

In these days more and more companies stick their heads up, more and more publishers want something original to compete with the rest. Do you believe all those academics and institutes where you can get a Game D&D degree teach you how to copy the working recipe, or teach you how to be innovative?

Does EA actually develop anything these days? I was under the impression they were just distributors, like Microsoft with Halo.

With Westwood out of the picture: Zero Hour should be the final incarnation of the franchise. I like the C&C series. Its always been an almost modern warfare RTS. I've always found it a lot of fun to play, single player and multiplayer, more so than the Warcraft franchise and the other RTS's out there that don't rate a mention. The only one that I played more than it was Starcraft and that's simply because it was the culmination of all the good points about the RTS and Sci-Fi genre.

The comments made by "The Ghost" really don't hold any weight. If she could really beat it at age 5, her parents must have no idea how to raise a healthy child. In order to beat the Command & Conquer with ease at age five would have required a lot of time in front of a computer prior to that playing RTS games.

Get outside, Ghost. Get some sun in your face and some fresh air in your lungs. Get some exercise. Then ask your English teacher for some help with your grammar and spelling. This is what you should be doing, not posting rubbish on internet message boards.

All games are ment to change, in c&c case generals was a completely new story line, to that of ra and tib dawn, they start as ra1 then to tib dawn then ra2 then to tibsun thats the whole point of having sequals to continue a story line but c&c generals is completely new so how can u say they havent changed much?!

It's just that i think the games have changed so much more advanced units and what not. Those were the biggest changes i think. At first i hated cause i couldn't get used to it. Although now i'm ready and really like to play ra2 no other's though, Blakmaglc

Oh, and to Mr. Chicken, I'd love to go up against you and see you "rush me" to death. Though it happens sometimes, more often than not, I've beaten it and then the other guy's done. Use some strategy for this "easy" strategy game. Geez.

What could they change apart from graphics???

None of the original C&C's were bad, they all had there differences ofcourse but these emposed different stratagies in combat. But one game sould never cange apart from graphics.... C&C & TS!

TT should only have one difference and thats the SAGE from Generals and that would be the best C&C ever in my book.

The C&C interface and general controls are simple to learn and use so tat sould never be changed as it is te easiest way to "Command & Conquer"

It is possible to make the games realistic, There is plenty of mods out there that make C & C Generals realistic (Search www.moddb.com ).

But the things that are impossible in C&C could be possible in the real life a few years again.

e.g. in the past, you thought that RA2 cloning vats is unrealistic, but now there is human cloning !

another e.g. TS jump jet infantry and RA2 rocketeer, it may be impossible in the past, but i read my newspaper some days ago, and it is said that US army will use that technology for war.

So, however, technology improves days to days. even though there are some things that are really unrealistic, like Yuri's abilities to mind control.

Yeah, but it's a game, it doesn't have to be so realistic.

Human clones are possible but its the case of ethics, ppl think its wrong to do so (personally i do).

i think what the guy means by realistic is the game graphics not the content and i think a realistic looking TS would be asoulutely amazing....

but no one wants to do it..

There's no human clones ATM.

Wrong. What do you think identical twins are?

Link to post

r u telling me identical twins are exact genetic copies of eachother??

Link to post

If they weren't, they wouldn't be identical, plus it's a scientific fact that they would have the same DNA because they come from a single fertilized egg.

but one cannot deny that they are exact copies of each other, which is the definition of a clone.
