Azrael 0 Posted January 5, 2007 Well, you might say that I almost have a photographic memory... Reading the announcement dug the fact that we are still missing the connection between Red Alert and Tiberian Sun for over a decade of the C&C series... But the announcement of Tiberium Wars was a logical move, since completing both sides of C&C will make the midpoint even more necessary, making that midpoint game (RA3) necessary to understanding the story, the transition in which GDI was created and Nod revealed itself, along with the event that shapes the bleak future of mankind: the arrival of the Tiberium meteorite, a blessing and curse, blessing mankind with a resource with unlimited capabilities, and it was a curse in which it threatens mankinds future. It would also dig deep into the Scrin's part in all of the major Tiberium-related events in the Tiberian part of the C&C plot. All these factors, plus the possibility of unique gameplay, new and improved SAGE engine (or even a completely different enging) make the strategy of EA quite, well, lucrative, although I'm not sure if what I said was what was in their minds. F15pilotX 4 Posted January 5, 2007 RA2 was fun, but I'd much rather have a generals-type (gameplay) game anyway...better graphics and more customization Share this post Link to post

Woofna 0 Posted January 6, 2007 --I never win any RTS games on multiplayer. Ever. In fact, I hate them. Playing against people that have it down to a science takes away all the freedom and fun that I enjoy, like creating well-organized bases and tanks in formation and in lines, making them look like actual military bases. --I like Renegade, and play it online constantly but use things other people haven't seem to have though of. Though I've never seen any of you online. FOR EXAMLE: -Setting a nuke beacon or ion cannon beacon just outside (1 foot away ) from a structure ... while everyone's inside all the structures like WTF WHERE IS HE ... no one else does this. Why? -Using the stealth black hand just to sneak up behind someone and put a timed c4 on their back, then running back and recloaking. I get such joy out of that!!! -When I have 5000 credits and I don't want anything but a medium tank for myself, I buy like 4 medium tanks and give them away, thus giving my team a good advantage. -I NEVER BUY Havoc or Sakura. If you can do headshots, DeadEye and the BHSniper are just as good. I only buy Havoc or Sakura to take down Orcas or Apaches from across the map. Fun! -I use Orcas and Apaches defensively, against infantry and slow-shooting tanks. Taking one into even a moderately-defended base is wasteful and stupid. And it's so fun to pluck off infantry and tanks from 100 feet above! -I use Orcas and Apaches to run people over. I hover above them and then drop on top of them real fast. "BOINK!" Unorthodox but effective, I am constantly "N00b!!"d for using these tactics. -One summer, I used to play EverQuest at least ten hours a day. Not exaggerating at all. -I don't hate WoW ... I FEAR it ... I am sure it's just as crack-like as EverQuest was. -I don't really like Red Alert. But I beat both sides. -I despise Anime and Japanese-wannabe teenage girls. Naruto makes me sick. -I think Kingdom of Loathing is absolutely brilliant. Share this post Link to post

Woofna 0 Posted January 6, 2007 Another: I hate consoles. I have a PS2. I played TWO games on it worth playing. Kingdom Hearts, and Ace Combat 5. Other than those two types of games, PC all the way. RTS and FPS, my two favorite game-types, BELONG on the PC. Share this post Link to post
Dim4uk 0 Posted January 7, 2007 I was part of the team that tried to make Crimson dawn mod sort of but then after about a year, then it was 30%, the guy who made it almost by his own shut it down. I afraid I interfered too much with his work, thougth nobody of the team seemed to realy help him modding. most of them did some PR and posts. this mod page doesn't exist enymore but MODDB still have it there: http://mods.moddb.com/3703/cnc-crimson-dawn/ Share this post Link to post

Cygnus X-1 12 Posted January 8, 2007 set font size to zero Confesion add-on the most powerful game system I have ever owned (aside from the comp) was a gameboy color. I never understood why a lot of people like FPS' to be on the PC. Personally, I like the Xbox and PS2 interface WAY better than the PC for FPS. Unless of course, you have a $X000 comp and some kickarse connection and controlers. But an Xbox is still cheaper than all that. Share this post Link to post

Unless of course, you have a $X000 comp and some kickarse connection and controlers. But an Xbox is still cheaper than all that. Because I like to snipe, and my best quality and favorite thing to do is extremely accurate shooting. As in, 80 percent of the shots I fire go into to someone's head, whether it be a sniper rifle, pistol, assault rifle, or even a flamethrower or shotgun (close range). And for that, I need my mouse. Cygnus X-1 12 Posted January 8, 2007 im bidding for Sims 2 on Ebay for myself-_- or you oculd just buy it and avoid overpaying Woofna - so practice with a controller. Like the mouse, with a bit of practice, you can get good at it  No offense, but in my FPS experience, aside from missions, the only way to get good head shots is on chokepoints of balconies where your enemy has a limited range of movement. Although I have hit Jango Fett in the head while he was flying once on Kamino (operated by a friend, of course) Share this post Link to post

Cygnus X-1 12 Posted January 8, 2007 thats what its going for, eh? Wait until the last 5 min and see how high up it goes. I once sat and watched while one of the original Geddy Lee signature basses (made by the Signature guitar company, not Fender) was sold, it was @ $600, and in the last five minutes got up to nearly $1500 (USD) granted Sims2 isnt as ot of a comodity, but still Share this post Link to post
