Its time for a new poll. C&C3 fans who plan on purchasing the PC version in March have a decision to make. Will you buy the special Kane Edition or go the cheaper way and just get the Standard Edition. Tell us by voting in our latest poll.

Well I'm assuming it will cost more. Either way I'm getting the Kane Edition as well. I expect most people will.

You just noticed?.... Its only been that way since October last year Anyway, the script we are using to pull the news from the forums just takes the local server time. It doesn't use any user cookie settings. When you post something or view something on the forums all times are adjusted by your timezone offset stored in your profile, which is in turn stored in your cookie file.

 

So here on the forums the news posts are posted at whatever timezone you have set in your profile, on the main page they are the local time zone of the server.

Here in sweden the Kane Edition and the standard version cost the same atm (atleast from webhallen.com), but even if the K.E were to cost more I'd buy it anyway.

Shouldn't it just be called the "Special Edition" naming it "Kane Edition" would kinda mock Kane a bit ya know? :/

 

*sigh* EA is still making a huge mistake by not putting the right tiberium in the game very much plus they were supposed to put the C&C soldier on the cover, not Kane, the soldier has always represented C&C to the fullest!

If you have a larger GAME or Gamestation store near you, they're more than likely to have a copy. I've seen plenty of special editions for sale in the larger stores like Age of Empires 3 box set, The ultimate Half life 2 special edition, Age of Mythology, Medieval 2, to name a few.

 

The larger music stores such as HMV and Virgin Megastores also get special editions in from time to time, they're a bit more pricey than the dedicated games stores. But if you're after these things as an essential purchase it's well worth the money.

- choice is between black & white options.

- decision is for the grey areas where its often the lesser of two evils and you have to rely on a combination of gut instincts and your intellect (formed by experience and research)... but still relying on just plain dumb luck more than anyone wants to admit.

 

For me this is a choice

It isn't tiberium from C&C because it doesn't look anything from C&C1 or TS for crying out loud so how can you say that the tiberium in C&C3 is C&C-like, it has no looks of the previous tiberium design from C&C1 and TS!

yes, but as anylife form will over time, they mutate. Tiberium has evolved into its current form, the earth-based lifeforms of TS and FS, acool as they were, have died out to make way for a stronger form of Tiberium, as it slowly devours the planet.

No, they still need the other things from the past to regenerate however like the Blossom Tree which is absolutely not seen in C&C3 plus Tiberium can't grow enormous until about 100 years, not just a decade and a couple of years more!!

in 30 years, Tiberium cant spawn under the ocean and create big moughts that spit toxic gas and create giant floating spiders that kill everything in their path!

and it perfectly can again. Remember, EA is in charge of the cannon, and they do posses the C&C Bible, so its NOT in our hands. Sure we can complain and try to change things, but overall, they are in control. Now accept that or dont, but either way, this new game is looking goooooood 8)
