your computer and you

Recommended Posts

well..i recently realized that CnC3 will b released on PC-DVD...i must have known in the past but may have forgotten due to the fact that THIS SUCKS!

my computer is out of date..in all ways..

i recently purchased fable and it doesnt work because my graphics card is incompatable..so i planned to upgrade that, but wait until cnc3 comes out to be safe

i have been in denial that CnC3 will eat my computer in more ways than one...

AAAAAAARRRRRRRRRGGGGGGGGGG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

is noone else ENRAGED by this!?!?!?!?

i dont think ive ever mentioned a problem with EA or the way they are producing CnC3......but now in light of recent events and my short temper......NOT ONLY EA'S GAMES BUT ALL NEW GAMES ARE TOO DAMN DEMANDING...!

I FIND THIS INCONSIDERATE AND JUST ANNOYING!

its damn outrageous...more gameplay consideration and less graphic emphasis.. :?: am i right?

Dude you need to move with the times or be left behind, its that simple. ;)

Besides consider this, if they didn't release it in DVD format, you'd have around 4 or so CDs. Now the more CD's there are the more likely you are to either lose or scratch one or all of them. ;)

I have a 2 Ghz PC with 1 GB RAM and a kick ass Radeon 9250 graphics card. It'll just about run C&C 3, but pigs will fly before I get to apprieciate C&C 3 on this rig.

So I have a plan to upgrade to a Core Duo E6600, with 2GB RAM and a GeForce 7950 GT by the end of next month. Yep trust funds are great!

And with the 7.1 surround system I'm getting for it too. Oh hell C&C 3 is gonna sound sooooo sweet! :P

im thinking a ram and graphics card upgrade should do the trik?and a dvd drive if they dont release it on cd..

luk its hard to keep up with the times man, some people cant afford to conform

dude, all you need is a new video card and ram, your processor will be albe to *barely* run it

my specs:

1.8ghz

1 GB

Geforce 6600

and it runs BFME2 decently on medium...C&C3 on low, hopefully...

thats my point...the hardware req is getting more demanding

the only aspect of a game's req i can understand is the processor for better gameplay....but other than that its superficial...but dont get me wrong i love good graphics and whatnot...

anyways if i havent made myself seem like a fool already im going to rap this up..

im turning 21 in may and ive, in a way, been financially independant..so the only way i can upgrade my comp is either on my own or my parents somehow decide to buy me one for my bDay..

well im done venting.... :)

I'm sure my system will handle C&C3 just fine. Mine is far from top of line

- AMD Athlon 64 3800+ (@ 2.4 GHz)

- Leadtek Geforce 7600 GT

- 1 GB Ram

When I had Generals/Zero Hour installed it ran those on high detail at 1024 x 768, then when I got my 19" LCD it ran the same way on high detail at 1280 x 1024.

rEdaSbLood, at the bare minimum you should at least double your Ram and upgrade your video card.

My gaming computer: E6400 Core 2 Duo OCd to 3.0 GHz (these procs are ridiculous overclockers ), 2 GB RAM, 2 WD Raptor 10k rpm hard drives in RAID 0, 5.1 surround from a soundblaster x-fi card, OCd x1900xtx running at a resolution of 1680x1050.

It should be able to handle the high end just fine, but I'm looking into upgrading the video card to the incredible new gforce 8800 series when I eventually get vista. Sadly that's a pretty pricey upgrade....

thank you sonic, i was waiting for advice...

well upgrading my ram and vid card would be cheaper than a new system right? but thenagain i also practically need a DVD drive and a better processor

My computer is just about as hard core as BWare.

I have an Intel Pentium 4, 3.0 GHz, 1.5Gigs of Ram, and a Nividia 7900 in this hunkajunk.

To be honest computer specs have moved that blindingly fast. The only problem is having the money to keep up with the machines that are flying out at super speed.

It's taken my 2 Ghz comp 5 years to hit minimum spec. That's been one hell of a future proof machine. Back in late 2002 it was the price of the top quad core machines now. But it's been money well spent. Even though I do technically have the money to buy a quad core and all the other top whack stuff to last me until 2012.

A machine that powerful isn't as much a priority as it was back then. I just want a machine that's gonna last 2 years so I can upgrade as time goes on. It's more economic that way instead of flushing out uber amounts of money every few years.

The computer I am in the process of building:

-3.2ghz dual-core pentium 4

-2 gigs RAM

-generic 256meg video card

Think it'll fly C&C3?

A Generic 256 MB video card may not make C&C 3 fly. I have a ATI Radeon 256MB. It can't do jack. Memory means nothing without a good GPU and a 450w+ PSU to support it.

If you're gonna get a decent graphics card. You're gonna need a Nvidia 7000 series or above to get the most from C&C 3. It's all dependant on your budget.

But apart from that, there's no doubt that C&C 3 will run great on any dual core machine. In fact any machine above 3 Ghz with at least 1 GB of RAM will be more than enough for smooth performance on the processing front.

Well thats good for me cuz i just got myself a brand new kick ass dell inspiron with core duo. This things got 2GB of RAM and the newest video card dell supplies (i forget the name of it). i'm glad i got this thing cuz its got the dvd drive i need for c&c3, and it will run a lot smoother cuz i got so much **** on my other computer.

Yeah, but he was the guy asking where BWare was in the first place, and Jeff is still in our forums every day.
