Possible C&C 3 Demo Date

There is news going around about a possible release date for the C&C 3 demo. February 20th is the day you should circle on your calender and prepare for a big download. FilePlanet subscribers are able to reserve their spot to download it on this page. Those of us who are not FilePlanet subscribers (or silly enough to pay for a demo) can wait it a bit longer and grab it from other sources because other download mirrors will pop up in a short amount of time.

 

Now for the one minor problem, the February 20th date is unconfirmed. The C&C 3 Demo page at FilePlanet did previously say February 20th but it was later changed to no date at all. So all we can do is play the waiting game for now.

 

Update: EA community manager had this quick comment about the release date for the C&C 3 demo today.....

 

The date is not official. We will be releasing this demo in conjunction with FilePlanet as we did with BFME2, but they put the cart before the horse.

 

We will announce the date when ready and that is hopeful for later this week.

So no confirmed date just yet, keep checking back for updates.

Awesome news! Now we can speculate what will be in it... I assume it will be 2-3 SP missions, but I'm sure we'd really like to see a MP/Skirmish map.

I'd say maybe 1 SP mission that won't be in the full game and 1 skirmish map letting you play GDI v Nod.

I would be expecting a similiar treatment as the EAW expansion FOC, to do some prologue SP missions. a Skirmish/MP map would be a bonus.

 

I would think a MP map should have priority over SP experience... maybe with just lower tech levels or something.

Well if it does come out sometime around the end of Feb, it probably won't work well on my system anyway. I need a new PSU and Vid card, as the old ones are kind oh I don't know, insufficient for C&C3.

Good minimalisation... you could probably get a job as the press secretary for the Bush Administration!

 

But performance indications will be great, even though I plan to upgrade GFX card in March anyway.

I just dont see the reason why people need to buy the demo from FilePlanet :? . Why doesnt EA just release the demo to everyone who has reserved the game?

FilePlanet won't be the only source to get the demo from. There will be plenty of other places like www.gamershell.com (who always provide many mirrors).
