My Personal C&C 3 Demo Video Review

Recommended Posts

Guest Rabbit

I've created a video review for the C&C 3 demo! I suppose you could consider this the first video review made by a fan site. This covers some of the basics of what people have been complaining about, plus my little kick to it. Sorry, there are times when the quality is off, something keeps screwing up, and I can't fix it when I try to process the video.

Anyway, take a look for yourself!

:P funny guy...

anyways i liked what you pointed out, those issues should be addressed

...especially the whole part about the engine being able to handle a lot going on..i think thats important when there is epic and gigantic battles to be waged...

...another thing i thought should be addressed is maybe the capacity of a silo instead of the annoying voice that tells you to build them...that should do well with the issue no?..

...lastly, i was wondering about tiberium in the game. i was thinking tiberium should be a little smaller still, and also the tiberium riparius or w.e should be brought back..unless it is still in the game..

besides those issues i drew up, the game looks awesome and sounds promising.

I really would like to be able to see those bars with the silo and refinery like in previous games, but besides that, I got it to run, and LOVE it :D

Rofl, I was joking about that, I just thought it would be something fun to add in by joking about the hundreds of infantry I had rolling out. The speed is actually quite fine for me.

Good review. I like the harvester clip.

I agree with you telling everyone to stop thier b**ching with Silos Neeeded but even you have to admit that SILOS NEEDED can get annoying. :D

What I didnt notice is that the units DO snap to attention when you click and order them. EA did put some good thought into this game.

Good job with catching the fact that a superweapon can destroy a tiberium field.

The only thing I have against the demo is that engineers cant repair civilian structures after their health bar reaches red and the garrison ejects. Unless their is another way, I havent found it.

All in all, you should have given C&C3 a 9.5/10. Just to be fair. :D

lol yea i thought that was a joke..but it is a good point no?

I somewhat disagree with the engine handling the game. I am running 2 gigs of corsair xms amd 4800+ at 2.5ghz, and a 8800gts with settings maxed but i can tell that when large battles are going on the game does slow down a tad. Also, when playing as NOD i noticed the ability to seed tiberium, i thought that the scrin where going to be able to do this?

The scrin will probably have something even more powerful than nod's tiberium growth thing.

And good review, Zee. I can see you like mass hordes of riflemen... :P

That reminds me... what's up with the gliding assasin people nod has, they're REALLY annoying...

You mean the Shadow Squad? Why are they annoying?

I can't use infantry against a nod opponent when they have those running around!!! I might want to send some guys into the city or out into a tib field to guard it and I am instantly slaughtered by invisible mercenaries. Nevermind the fact that they can fly... :(

You should immediately cease and desist all further podcasts, and just stick to video-casts.

Well, I dunno...I might be wrong, and Nod might just be the powerhouse faction. Yeah, I think that's it...

Yeah, of couse, I see it now! Nod isn't supposed to be stealthy and use harrassment tactics! Those shadow should SO not be in their armies. THEY ARE OMG OVERPOWERED!!!11! EA have made a big bug and put a GDI infantry on Nod's side! FIX THIS EA!

 Rofl...

what i had in mind while everyone was discussing balance and all that, was that the storyline provides that NOD has gained much more power than GDI... :?:

Well Nod have been secretly building up in preparation for the third Tiberium War. Whilst GDI has been cutting the defence budget in preparation for another "decade of peace"...

Silly fools.. Muahahahha :twisted::P

well not to take sides, but id say GDI was spending their money on preventing tiberium from taking over blue zones more so than just cutting the defense budget no?

the prevailing theme seemed to be somewhat conservativism(GDI) against liberalism or neohumanism even(NOD)

but what is SCRIN then

who wins? the ones who rely on that which has always worked, or those who rely on that which they hope works...

faith(NOD) against reason(GDI)..id have to go with faith

I also noticed that when the nod rocket troops fire their rockets the red tips of the rockets dont leave the barrel.. (yes im picky). also i thought the avatar was supposed to be able to rip the weapon off almost anything, not just 4 nod vehicles....

Yeah... the avatar thing really disappointed me. I wanted to be able to tear apart a juggernaut or a tripod and completely bulldoze everyone... :P

yea they should look into that...or maybe its just being saved for the full game?
