Would you use it? During the summer I am going to work but since I already have a car lined up to get when I turn 16 and a ventrilo server is cheap, I figured, why not give a little feature to cncnz.com?

A CNCNZ.com ventrilo server. You can join, talk to CNCNZ members bout C&C or just random stuff or how hot the girls are in Luk3us's sigs are. Also if we ever form an unofficial CNCNZ.com C&C tourney (I know Sonic and King have seen this idea fail before) and we played we can talk to each other and crap like that. Also it'd be something no other C&C site has really. We already have a podcast, something others don't have, and now, we could have something else. I am not asking for donations, this will be funded and ran by me for CNCNZ.com out of my own pocket. (Ventrilo servers are pretty cheap ;))

Now here's the basic questions: Would you use it? Seriously, don't tell me "maybe" or "probably", no. I want a yes or no. Or not as many people say yes, I will ditch the idea, but I could still use the server for other gaming stuff I do, so even if there are a bit more no's, I could probably still pull this off.

And do you have a mic? If not, they're really cheap. So if you'd like to take part in this, but don't have a mic, just say yes. Cuz one day you could just want into your Wal-Mart or Kiwi-Mart, and get one for cheap. ;)

If people were on, I'd pop my head in every once in a while, but I don't think I'd use it.

I love how there's move votes than replies... I wish we had an option "reply to vote" or something...

"Reply to vote" would be an excellent tool. We should look into it, as an option to set when you make the poll, not necessarily something set in stone.

As to a CNCNZ Voice Server, I would most definitely use that, but if we got a big deal of people using it, wouldn't we overload it? I think I would use it often, but I don't think CNCNZ is populated enough for it to be anything constant, perhaps there would be weekly/biweekly "meetings", and the Admins could have some kind of control to actually make it an ordered thing. I.E., Thursday C&C3 speculation and discussion, next Wednesday Open Discussion ...

Of course it'd always be open, but maybe or maybe not people would be there. I'd personally leave it on while I did my computer things, such as playing Renegade constantly.

Okay, there's my response. :D And I voted for "yes".

For those whom have been around here long enough. You may remember CNCNZ had an IRC chat room. It was up for many eons but never got used.

As good an idea as this is, I will say it will more or less fall into the same fate. As Fyre said, it'll probably last for a week. But even that is pushing it.

Umm... I doubt we'd overload it. And once you meet the max it just doesn't let more people in...

But we don't need it! That's the central issue. I know this first hand. These kinds of things are good for a few days to a week at max and they go dead. There's no need to start something that will not be used.

Again, its cheap and I can use it for other uses besides CNCNZ.com if not many from CNCNZ choose to use it. And with that attitude... :P

I can honestly say I'd never use this. It would be novelty at first but once the novelty factor dies off no one will use it.

I'm in agreement with Fyre. Why set up something we don't need.

yah I have to go with the majority of posters here it would probably get used for a little bit then die off and also there is the topic of people being on, there would probably only be a few people on at a time, at max

I would certainly use it; programs like ventrilo and ts are great for online multiplayer (i.e. Renegade, cnc3)

This might/might not happen, but if people did meet on ts, i'd say it'd be more likely they'd play with each other...
