And the always handy press release....

EA'S COMMAND & CONQUER 3: KANE'S WRATH ENLISTS ALL-STAR CELEBRITY CAST Expansion Pack in Award-winning Series to Include Natasha Henstridge and Carl Lumbly in Live Action Video Sequences

CHERTSEY., October 30, 2007 - Electronic Arts Inc. (NASDAQ: ERTS) today announced that Command & Conquer 3: Kane's Wrath, the expansion pack to the critically-acclaimed and fan favorite, Command & Conquer 3 Tiberium Wars, will feature Natasha Henstridge (Species trilogy) and Carl Lumbly ('Alias') in its all-new, high-definition, live action video sequences. Henstridge and Lumbly will be joined by veteran Command & Conquer actor Joe Kucan, who originated the role of Kane, the megalomaniacal leader of the Brotherhood of Nod. All three actors are at the epicentre of the Command & Conquer 3: Kane's Wrath story which will span 20 years - from the rebirth of the Brotherhood after the Second Tiberium War through the dramatic events of the Third Tiberium War and beyond.

"Natasha and Carl are a perfect fit for the live-action video sequences that will bring our epic story to life," said Mike Verdu, General Manager of EALA and Executive Producer on Command & Conquer 3: Kane's Wrath. "We had great success with the cast and story for Command & Conquer 3, and I'm very excited to be working with such talented actors on the expansion pack. We're doing something really unique with the campaign this time around - and I think fans will be thrilled to see how the story unfolds."

Live action cinematics have become one of the hallmarks of the Command & Conquer series dating back to the original Command & Conquer in 1995. In addition to the trademark live action videos and multi-decade campaign, Kane's Wrath introduces six new sub-factions and a wealth of new units, structures, and powers to the armies of the Global Defense Initiative, the Brotherhood of Nod, and the enigmatic alien Scrin.

The Xbox 360 version of Command & Conquer 3: Kane's Wrath will debut a revolutionary new radial interface designed specifically for console gamers. Taking RTS controls to a whole new level, players will utilize the command stick to build, deploy, and attack.

Developed at EALA, Command & Conquer 3: Kane's Wrath will ship in Spring 2008 for Windows PC and Xbox 360 video game and entertainment system. This product is not yet rated by the ESRB. So still no character names but at least going by the photos above Natasha Henstridge and Carl Lumbly are playing Nod characters.

For those wanting to know the character names, as in who plays who. Well you will find out in in Battlecast Primetime Ep3. But here they are now....

Natasha Henstridge plays Alexa Kovacs

Carl Lumbly plays Brother Marcion

Well... I initially thought Carl would make a good addition, but now I realize that he does not look to fit in the Nod armor.

I mean, he could probably make an excellent GDI officer, but a servant to Kane? Nooooo!

And are they only casting TWO people besides Kucan? That's insane!

Kane looks kinda silly in that mask lol.

I mean, the mask + the burn tissue makeup he had in TS looked better.

Me like. Though Mr. Lumbly shouldnt be a "brother".

I actually like the armor. And Ms. Henstridge, is as always, gorgeous.

Agree that the mask looks dumb, however.

So what about Slavik and Cabal, then?

Or more people?

recover: Why, how much more where in Firestorm? Or TW? Or TD? (You get the idea)

Well... if you think about it FS had three main actors; Slavik, Cortez, and Bodroue. Then as minor actors we had Tratos, and The Inner Circle. Then as voice only actors we had EVA, CABAL, Kane, and Shandra.

If we consider what we were given in TW, the only people who spoke in the cinematics were the actors, and there were no minor actors, nor any voice only actors.

So if we assume that KW is going to be done like TW then only Kucan, Carl, and Natasha will talk.

And to make it worse, we will then only get the facts from the Nod side, we won't get GDI's perspective. I think this is the greatest loss. :(

So if they are the only actors, this will be the C&C game/expansion with the least actors in it.

Yuri's Revenge was really well done with the return of all the actors from RA2.

Im sure there will be some GDI story. If nothing else, they could have a short unlockable campaing for GDI after Kane's Wraith.

Im just trying to put hope in the GDI community, but im looking foward as to how Kane again rises from his own ashes. I would like to see another rebirth to his soldiers as he did in TS when Slavic executed Hassan.

Its twice the size the avatar is, can be built only once from a special structure, and its weaponry is based on which units you garrison into it.

Btw, while i am disappointed that we didnt get more info on Slavik or Cabal, im still happy to see these two new characters, watch BcPM, the design is a lot better than before and these two seem to be very interesting

Battlecast Primetime Ep 3. I recommend you to watch it, really, for the explanations of this unit for example, or some FMV shots, the new actor interviews and funny quotes from Kucan and the hosts. Matches this time were interesting and tense as well.

Oh, and go here for two new map images from KW:

Btw, noticed my new avatar?

Aaaand there will be some unit call redeemer, which can be upgraded.

Next time, theyll have a sneak peek on the 30+ KW maps and a Natasha interview.

I am very, very pleased.

Why do they have to get old chicks for Nod? Why not some hot 25 year old? :(

But she'll do anyway. :P:haha:

And I think this kinda confirms there won't be any GDI cutscenes... Which also could mean there won't be a GDI campaign... But we'll see.

Natasha Henstridge is the same age as Tricia Helfer, they are both 34 I think. So since when is 34 considered old?

Does their age really matter?

I don't know much about that Carl Lumbly guy (not much of a Battlestar Galactica or Alias fan) but I say its a great move EA to get Natasha Henstridge, she has done sci-fi stuff in the past so its good a thing.

What I'm most saddened about KW is that EA haven't said "No, there will be no GDI/Scrin campaigns, but the Nod campaign will BE AWESOME!" or something similar.

It just suck that they have been dodging this question since the beginning of times just because they think it will make fewer people buy the expansion.

Just because they haven't openly said so, they will receive more negative feedback on its release. :!:

But not too old for . . . <- calculate 3 letters and put in

Just becouse she's old, it doesn't mean that theire bad actors, or?

Anyhow there is nothing you can do to exchange them with someone else.

End of "old" discussion
