Viper79 0 Posted November 8, 2007 What is the difference from just Tiberium Wars and the Kane edition Share this post Link to post
Sonic 295 Posted November 8, 2007 The Kane Edition doesn't really differ from the standard edition all that much. With the Kane Edition you get some extra unit skins for GDI, Nod and Scrin. Some desktop wallpapers and a bonus DVD with a some behind the scenes videos, FMV blooper reel and so on. In some countries eac Kane Edition has limited edition sticker on the box. Viper79 0 Posted November 8, 2007 Pretty big price difference for the 2 versions. Share this post Link to post
Guest Rabbit Posted November 8, 2007 Personally, I think it's more of a memorabilia type thing. Share this post Link to post
Viper79 0 Posted November 8, 2007 I ordered standard from ebay. Should be here soon. Share this post Link to post
VampireA05 0 Posted November 9, 2007 yeah..i noticed that. i have standard one for my laptop..local cybercafe have kane's edition. no different at all to me. Share this post Link to post
dapperdan 0 Posted November 9, 2007 The Kane's Edition copies are pretty much the only ones you can buy round me and they only cost £19.99, wont find it any cheaper really until it moves into the £5 bargain bin. *The unit skins aren't great either. Share this post Link to post
hagren 0 Posted November 9, 2007 Has someone pics from the skins? Since here in Austria both cost the same. Share this post Link to post
recover 2 Posted November 9, 2007 Here in Sweden Kane Edition costed 20 SEK more than the original, which isn't much at all, so I got it. Share this post Link to post
Luk3us 63 Posted November 10, 2007 If they cost the same, then get the Kane Edition. You can turn the skins off also, as they are kinda lame really. Share this post Link to post
Sonic 295 Posted November 10, 2007 Has someone pics from the skins? Since here in Austria both cost the same. I don't have pics of them all. But this what the Scorpion Tanks look like. Trust me they aren't out of this world impressive, just extra colours etc.... With or without them it makes no change to the way the game plays. Share this post Link to post
Azrael 0 Posted November 11, 2007 Eugh. Too many lines, and very stiff curves. Share this post Link to post

spark 0 Posted February 3, 2008 (edited) I have the Kane Edition but I don't know what are the extra unit skins? Edit: I tried googling...and it is said that some units of each faction have unique skins...do they mean appearance of the units in the game? How much do they differ from the normal C&C3 game? Edited February 3, 2008 by spark Share this post Link to post
Luk3us 63 Posted February 3, 2008 Just play online, you are more than likely to run into someone with the KW skins in use. I personally disabled them, as I didn't really like them very much. Share this post Link to post

So it is activated through online play? Sorry if I am asking such a dumb question... Share this post Link to post
Luk3us 63 Posted February 4, 2008 (edited) No, you misunderstand me. If you have the regular C&C3 then if you play someone who has KW ONLINE, then their units will have the skins on and YOU can see them. I'll take some pics. Kane Edition Skins below: Compare the scropions and Avatars with the non KE skins below. KE skins Non KE skins I've only got a few SSs from a few games I've played and they are the only decent looking ones. Edited February 4, 2008 by Luk3us Share this post Link to post
spark 0 Posted February 4, 2008 Thanks alot for your help... It seems a little more reddish and has sharper details. If I play skirmish, I wouldn't have noticed them... Share this post Link to post
