General Carville in Kane's Wrath?

Recommended Posts

I noticed this news last week but didn't think much of it until now. It would appear that in IMDB's entry for Kane's Wrath lists a character by the name of General Ben Carville. As any die hard C&C fan would know General Carville appeared in Red Alert 2, Yuri's Revenge and in Red Alert - Retaliation for the Playstation.

People are beginning to speculate this is an attempt by EA to bridge the Tiberium and Red Alert universes. Personally I think its a mistake made by IMDB. I'll leave it with you to decide and to post your own theories.

Update: Timothy L. Raynor, the actor listed to portray General Carville has posted in the CNC Den news comments and personally cleared up any confusion....

Kane's Wrath IMDB.com listing.

Just to let you know - I am the actor that is listed to play Gen. Carville! I have NO IDEA how this was put on my IMDB.com listing! I have contacted IMDB to remove it but they seem to be very slow in responding.

Again - my apologies to the Command and Conquer Community - I have no idea of who added this to my credits.

Not that I wouldn't love the opportunity - but my wife and I have our own project in the works.

Sincerely;

Timothy L. Raynor

So their you go, I'm sure Mr Raynor would have made a fine General Carville but not for Kane's Wrath. Plus it also goes to show you that any information your read on IMDB should not be considered 100% accurate.

I think that if it's not an accident, then he's in a trailer for another C&C game, most likely C&C X or Red Alert 3(C&C X is the FPS in the works)

Definitely a mistake on imdb's side (imdb have suffered a lot of criticism because of false information).

Im half and half on that one, its possible he could be returning, but maybe in flashbacks showing Kane's past?

Lol, probably mistake. Especially if you click on the name Carville, it links back to RA: retaliation.

It's the texian general who blows up with a sucide bomber right?

This sounds wierd! Let's hope they don't make a big f*** up if this is their decision :?

Like someone said, anyone and their mother can edit the entries (lol like on Wikipedia)

Although I've noticed he's not being played by the same actor.

This news is likely a mistake onIMDBs side, since i asked Apoc about it, to which he replied:

"Regarding Carville and old Tiberium, i'll have to go back and do my homework on that but if you are looking for Kane's Wrath to connect back to Red Alert, I would not count on it. There was once a time when the franchise could have gone that way, but the end result is what's in the actual game, not a design document or an original intent that never fully blossomed. That's my personal opinion."

Chances of a GDI campaign are also slim, btw.

I told Apoc that a GDI campaign would rawk with all the background info on the subfactions, and he replied that theres only so much gods can do, and they may, likely not concur this time.

According to CNCDen, Tim Raynor is not cast in Kane's Wrath as Carville, even though he would like the opportunity. He's not cast in KW at all.

Thanks Lion
