On the Official C&C 3 Site, EA has launched the new Are You Kane? contest. Its a simple contest and lots of great prizes like a rare Nod ring of power, a Kane bobble-head, and a copy of Kane's Wrath. Here are the details....

 

 

Do you think you are the real Messiah? Are you the true ruler and overlord of The Brotherhood of Nod? Then we are looking for you, we are looking for the "real" Kane! That's right, any loyalist to The Brotherhood of Nod or KANE himself must now step forward and show your worth. This contest is simple. We want to see who can do the best photographic impersonation of Kane, using any and all materials at your disposal, and yes, that means you may use Photoshop to create your image, however, the image must contain YOU. The top entries will be judged by the Kane's Wrath development team and KANE himself!

 

The best photographic impersonation of KANE will win KANE's coveted, rare, Nod ring of power, a KANE bobble-head, and a copy of Kane's Wrath when it ships in March 2008, truly a Nod fans ultimate dream prize pack. The 2nd and 3rd place winners will each receive a copy of Kane's Wrath and a Kane Bobblehead.

EA has become kinda narrow minded at some points..

 

They only sell the box with all C&C games (including C&C3) In US,

Thei're only selling the KW preorder box in the US.

 

How can they forget that not all the hardcore fans live in USA?

and that little me in scandinavia also want's a preorder box?

how hard can it be to throw some KW preorder boxes on to a ship along with thousand sport games and god knows what from EA coming towards europe?

 

I just don't see it..

Norway is very sensible to all games with just a little violence.

But c'mon in denmark a girl on 5 can go in and buy GTA or Doom3..

 

And believe me, EA doesn't have to worry about too less copies selling here,. It's on top 3 of the most game buying countries in europe.

Dude, calm down. It is purely the legal stuff.

 

It's because of international trade laws they can't make it an international contest. They did it for all the previous contests too, it's not because of the fans, so don't assume they have all the control, and they only care about the U.S. fans.

 

This isn't about those pre-order sales or anything like that. If you know ANYTHING about how EA works, they have different community leaders and companies in different countries. It's not EALA's business what you get in a country not run by EALA.

 

So calm down, I just brought up that little original piece of info so people didn't attempt the contest who were not even eligible. No need to make a huge deal about it, because there's NOTHING they can do to fix the contest rules for you. It's not their fault.

Thanks Zee, so here is the deal. We definitely did not forget. This contest was MY idea. Like the ladder season, I am trying to get rules for international participants for future contests, but again, it requires lots of legal legwork. I can't not do a contest because I can't involve the entire world. I would if I could, but I have to bite my tongue and just go with it some times.

 

To that point, I am currently working on getting international rules for future contests of this nature, January is my target. I will run another contest with world-wide participation.

 

And with regards to the pre-order, I am based in the North American hub, its the responsibility of our European and Asian offices to mirror our pre-order, and they can if they want. They usually do it much later, so don't worry, hope is not lost. The Kane Edition and the C&C 3 pre-order were all available outside the USA closer to launch.

 

I'm just giving everyone a heads up on what to expect.

 

I hear you, and it is very tough dealing with this issue, damn goverments!

Im just a little frustrated becouse I where late for the Kane Edition too.

Never had a special edition c&c game, but would relly like to.

Yes here too, but the problem is that there's like 200 normal C&C3 and like 5 Kane Editions..

 

Preordering was not available, so they told me that they would put a special edition aside specially for me.

 

But this kid shows up with his grandma.

And he get's real angry, so the grandma says something to the salesman. A minute later he made the Kane Edition "dissapear" to the old lady.

(I talked to this guy earlier that month and he promised me a copy)

The sales dude didn't recognise me even though I was in the line.

But he did when I asked for my copy.

 

He gave me a normal C&C3 and acted like he thought this was our agreement.

What could I possibly do in this situation other than letting him say hello to mr. middlefinger.

 

So I searched whole Copenhagen for a Kane Edition but failed.

So I bought the normal C&C3..
