That's really cool, especially the last bit. The best way to take down the Core Defender is to bombard it with Banshees, that's real effective.

 

Btw, does anyone know were I can get hold of that animation that is displayed in the minimap when the Core Defender is activated? That would be real cool to watch in full quality.

 

Personally I believe that it is the Core Defender who is the origin of Nod Avatar Tech.

No, no no. The best way to counter the core defender is with rocket soldiers. LOTS AND LOTS of rocket soldiers. When I mean lots, I mean like thousands of em.

Too expensive. Disc throwers work too, but they're dangerous in large numbers, since they explode and stuff.

THen again if they wouldn't explode, you could just spam them and win the game.

Easiest ways of killing the core defender:

 

1. Get it on a bridge and the destroy the bridge.

2. Cloaked unpowered laser fence. Power it when he walks over. Instant kill.

3. Cloaked Firestorm wall. See #2.

 

4. Screw the Core Defender, and just destroy the Core with Disruptors (which can shoot through active Firestorm wall) without taking down the Firestorm fence around it
