Sometimes, things happen in just a short time in this community, usually after a long lull. Our friend @Banshee from Project Perfect Mod wrote an intriguing article on the importance of proper UI in Command & Conquer. OpenRA fan who goes by the handle N/a made the October 2018 issue of the OpenRA magazine called "The Chrono", which you can read here. The project that was until now known as RedAlert++ is now renamed to Chronoshift. It is still very much in development despite being publicly silent for the most part, with a public repository expected to be released within the next week or so.
New versions of Open Source HVA Builder (v2.14) and Open Source Voxel Viewer (v1.83) have been released over at Project Perfect Mod. They feature an updated version of the Voxel Engine, fixes for 360° rotation, the ability to cap the HVA Builder's rendering speed to 60 FPS (which is on by default), the ability to change between games and palettes, fix for the View Transform option, and restoration of HVA Builder options from v2.11 and v2.12 that were missing in v2.13. We have a few Command & Conquer community news related items to mention. So here a summary of what's popped up in the past few days. The Project Perfect Mod forums have recently moved to the new address of http://www.ppmforums.com. This is an effort to speed things up performance wise. So take note of the new URL, especially if you follow many of the mods and projects at Project Perfect Mod. The Community Battlecast Primetime team have recently set up a new Tumblr page. It consolidates all their past episodes in to one location. At the time of posting, not all of the episodes have been added just yet though. Take a look at the Facebook page for the Tiberium Icestorm mod and check out some of new artwork they have posted. There is artwork for the Tiberium Silo, Nod Attack Bike and the Nod Reckoner. Plus a really awesome piece of artwork featuring the Tiberium Vinifera Monolith. For those who like Command & Conquer, and those who like Minecraft, and like the idea of it combined. The CNC Minecraft team have recently started a new TeamSpeak 3 Server (18.104.22.168:18337). More community news can be found and posted in our C&C Community News forum. It's a big Happy Anniversary to Banshee and the team at Project Perfect Mod. The 30th of September marked their 13th year online, still supporting the modding community for the likes of Tiberian Sun and Red Alert 2 for all this time.
