xD hehe... did you see the swiss against turkey yesterday? XD that much was epic. it ****** it down so much in the first half the pitch was waterlogged XD completely and utterly bogged down... to the point the swiss crossed over near the turkish goal and the ball stopped in a puddle infront of the goal and one of the swiss strikers just walked up and gently tapped it in XD

Hrvatska! Hrvatska! :dance: :waves flag:

The guys smacked England in the prelims. Now they smacked Germany. Good times.

My team has its first game of the season tomorrow. I know you all will be cheering for me. ^_^

Thanks for signing up. Will you be joining a D-league team or a human-owned team?

Why?

Because Italty knocked Australia out of the World Cup in, some would say, dubious circumstances!

i don't know what's going on with me o.O; i've really been getting into the footy action o.o; like, really getting into it to the point of getting anxious when the team i'm supporting is 1 - 0 down and they keep nearly scoring c.c like yesterday with austria v poland xD and i've noticed my sex drive has risen. i'm not sure if it's related or not, but if it is i'm a little worried XD must be all the cute athletic men running about X3;;;

yah. played. but there are no teams out of north america are there? the only games played in the uk have been american teams with american fans and a couple of weird british people who watch way too much sport XD they occassionally show american football on the tv here... like, on channel five late at night or something. but not enough people really give a damn to make it take off here o.o we have football/soccer and rugby, tennis and cricket amongst other sports... oo;

pish. if you like watching adverts... all american sports are is advertising >_> it's not even just on the uniforms and board edges. it's on the big screens, on the tv everytime there is a replay or uninteresting part, and they even advertise in the half time shows. screw that. "soccer" may have it's advertising but at least the whole gist of it is that it's a good game and everyone likes to watch it (if you don't you wouldn't be tuned in in the first place) but let's be honest here, how many people actually care about american football or baseball? the only reason they watch it is for the cheerleaders, with buddies or as an excuse to have a beer without being bitched at o.O; no-one voluntarily watches those sports. whereas over here everyone loves football o.o; heck, all over the world everyone loves football. it's the world's most popular game. fact. an american sport can't be the world's most popular game if it's only played in america now can it? :P

Meh, popularity doesn't mean squat if the game is boring, which it is. The only truly entertaining part of soccer is the riots that follow games.

Mina, people do watch football because they enjoy it. Super Bowl XLII had over 97.5 million people in America watching it during it's broadcast. That's roughly one third of the country. And, when it comes to soccer, I have yet to see anything explosive on the magnitude of the Flee to Tyree, then Plaxico's(I think he has a brother named Plexiglass) touchdown after.

So, anyone get on a team yet? It takes too long. <_<

I like football, the way Europeans and the rest of the world has it, I like the metric system and I like 24 hour clocks, because in reality there is such thing as 13:00 XD, I am an American and I don't like 12 inches for a foot, 3 feet for a yard, or 5,000 something feet for a mile, multiples of 10 are nice but American football has everything on football, hard-hitting contact, long bombs, the ability to make a comeback when down by a seemingly unsurmountable spread, unfortunately though it is lacking in action, football is two halves of crazy action although it may not be as hard hitting as American football some crazy **** does go down on football fields, call me crazy but I'm an American (plus fat people scare me/creep me out, ALOT).

Yeah but NFL players are all padded up anyway. If you want real tackles watch rugby

see my point exactly. american football isn't football. you hardly use your feet at all... it's just rugby with padding :\ anyone can tackle eachother with padding on... it's no fun o.o anything cool or fantastic that happens in american football can be done in rugby or soccer too o.o "soccer" has goals scored from the halfway line, or from impossible angles... rugby has all the brutal stuff o.o;;; anyway... like it was said one third of the country watches... a slight difference between one third of a country and one third of the world no? o.o; apart from america everyone loves "soccer" o.o;

Not true. There are a lot of people in this country that watch it.

Me personally, I don't really like watching sports unless it's with my dad. He gets into it sometimes and his comments are highly entertaining. To be honest, I'd rather play the sport rather than watch some overpaid pros do it.
