Mina Synd 0 Posted November 13, 2008 lawl. most powerful country... yaaaah i'm gonna stop right there before i get flamed to the stoneage XD anyway. i saw obama's speech live on the tv o.o (at like, 5:30am or something after watching the voting all night long xD) it was pretty darn good, though the whole "yes we can" thing was a lil overkill... even if he's trying to drill it into people's minds. i've already seen bob the builder pictures with obama in everywhere XD (british kid's show: his tagline thing was "can we fix it? yes we can!") but yah... that is one of those speeches that could pretty much inspire anyone... definately a good start. though the crowds didn't seem as enthused as you would expect... but the problem is that at the moment the americans give themselves the fancy/well paid/cosy jobs and only allow the mexicans to have the shabby low wage, ikky jobs... if mexicans get given the equal rights there you can bet your ass they will become top of the market in every area. because they -do- work hard and want to learn and help a lot of the time. i mean if you give someone who desperately wants to do good the chance to learn and do it, they will succeed. which will force out the majority of whites. because believe it or not, the majority of white males don't care about their jobs and such. they just go there to get paid and constantly bitch about everything. i mean as a company exec who are you going to pick as an employee (not basing on race) the mexican guy who went through school and college and uni, getting all the qualifications necessary who you know puts all his heart into his work and WILL work hard to help him and his family because he knows he's got a good life, or the white guy who just wants an easy well paid job and will probably laze about playing minesweeper most of the day? XDDDD i know i'm being horribly cliche and generic there but i've seen the examples way too many times. things like this only become stereotypes because they happen so often... i mean yes, a large majority of mexicans do just start claiming benefits and scrounge. but a lot, if not most, come over to get a better life and put their heart and soul into trying to stay there and feed their families. and i'm not saying all americans are lazy... it's just a lot of them overlook how cosy their lives are and take things for granted... i'm sure if mexicans started taking high level places everywhere the random lazy people might take notice o.o; but yah, when governments start trying to make "equal rights" they go too far and invert things; for example, the british police. because everyone was crying about the minorities getting boned over the metropolitan police actually stopped hiring white males and would only hire minority races. i BS you not, look it up o.o; there were white males on the force, it's not like they fired anyone. but they wouldn't hire whites from that point forward... i think they've stopped doing that now due to heavy complaints. but when a government sets it's heart on trying to make things fair they always go overboard... i'm not sure on the US government but looking at the british government is a clear example of what you could expect. we pander to the minorities completely here. they have schools purely dedicated just to one minority, whole areas of cities purely for them... they have their own rights and special bonuses. i saw a news story on it a couple of days ago (however it would be a miracle if i could dig it up now. the second a story disappears from AOL's homepage it goes extinct into their records somewhere >_>) but yah. just look up information/news on UK law and such on minorities and immigrants. a lot of it is pretty good and fair but it goes WAY over the top and puts the native people in a quandry .-.; Share this post Link to post
Inferno 22 Posted November 13, 2008 s_w, Iraq is now a massive failure, and blunder on our part. It's costing more than we can afford and we're not. getting. anywhere. ^ And the chance on getting killed in a terrorist bombing is like 0 anyway. Share this post Link to post

TheBlackOut 7 Posted November 13, 2008 ok so what do you predict for Obama's presidency? I have no idea, I am hoping good things. Obama just seems more reasonable than McCain so I am happy he won over McCain, but I am not happy he won. You can't afford social security? That seems like much more of a big deal to your country than fighting a war in Iraq, but w/e. Don't tell me, I already know this. Even if we pulled out of Iraq, we still couldn't afford SS. And even if we pulled out of the hundreds of foreign nations we're in we couldn't... Nor should we, the government shouldn't provide all these services for people. give our country a break. u think its easy being what is basically the most powerful nation in the world? Well it'd be easier if we took a milder foreign policy approach, but Mister Bush didn't want to do that. Well considering China and India's growth, USA won't be the most powerful nation much longer in the future. Depends, China and India need to be independent from us if they want that. So far the markets have shown otherwise. s_w, Iraq is now a massive failure, and blunder on our part. It's costing more than we can afford and we're not. getting. anywhere. No ****. It was a lie from the get-go and we had no proof. We claimed we did... but time has proved it was all a lie. Share this post Link to post
rEdaSbLood 1 Posted November 14, 2008 im waiting for the revolution...eagerly Share this post Link to post
Doctor Destiny 41 Posted November 14, 2008 There will be no revolution. Why do you dolts keep using that word so carelessly? Jesus. A revolution implies an entire social upheaval; and Obama is not going to turn the country upside down, eliminate anyone's rights or anything of the sort. That's ludicrous at best. Jesus, saying Obama will bring a revolution is like saying McCain is a maverick. That's underestimating the connotation of the language. Share this post Link to post
rEdaSbLood 1 Posted November 14, 2008 DIDNT SAY HE WAS GOING TO BRING IT...AND I KNOW WHAT IT MEANS[/caps] it was said with humor intended, and it will happen IMO. or at least id like it to... Share this post Link to post
Doctor Destiny 41 Posted November 14, 2008 You're still underestimating the connotation of the word. The colonists in Colonial America caused a revolution, the peasants in France caused a revolution. A black guy in office with domestic ideas who actually cares about the citizens and not a quick buck is a big change but it falls very, very short of a revolution. Share this post Link to post
rEdaSbLood 1 Posted November 14, 2008 (edited) you're misunderstanding ME. i didnt say he would cause it or have anything to do with it at all...... but actually i'd prefer a rebellion over a revolution... matter-of-fact SOME ron paul enthusiasts and libertarians see this election victory as the beginning of a 'new world order' Edited November 15, 2008 by rEdaSbLood Share this post Link to post
Doctor Destiny 41 Posted November 14, 2008 There is no new world order. what the **** are these babbling idiots rambling about now? Voting in someone else with new ideas falls quite short of revolution, rebellion, new world orders, conspiracy, etc. Besides, they're only placing so much emphasis on Obama because he's black and people still give a **** about skin color. If this were a white guy with the same idea, it would just be yet another Liberal. Don't confuse suttle racism with intellectualism. Share this post Link to post

Mina Synd 0 Posted November 16, 2008 aaand everyone has just taken to ignoring me now. fine, whatever. but yah any "revolution" in america would happen because of all the white power people wanting to assassinate obama and using that as an oppotunity to take control of the government. though chances are all that would happen is some nut with a rifle who gets a lucky shot and wings/kills obama... obama himself wouldn't start a revolution, he's a great man trying to help the country he loves. he's pretty much just had the most sucky background in which to become president. him in power is going to do amazing things for quality around the country... aaand now america has done it, guess what! the uk is trying to follow! if i remember right the labor party is seriously considering putting a black candidate as their lead... and it's caused more of an uproar and people saying "it won't happen" here then in the US... o.O; dispite the fact that we've already had a female prime minister before... so a black one shouldn't be too much of a stretch oO; Share this post Link to post
sith_wampa 6 Posted November 16, 2008 i remember right the labor party is seriously considering putting a black candidate as their lead... Of course. Its an excellent way to get votes. At least here anyway. Share this post Link to post
