As for the Renegade gun, obviously there isn't a fancy animation there, but since it was described in the story line as a rail gun, it is a rail gun. I have yet to see any game or movie that accurately depicts a rail gun, so they can make it look like a laser if they want, because nobody has done any better!

I don't know if you meant that 200 m/s to be the speed of the rail gun, but I hope not. A rail gun fires around 3500 m/s. Rail guns are typically portrayed as instantaneous, because they fire too fast to be seen. In all actuality, a laser isn't instantaneous either, but no one is complaining about that.

The shot is long gone before you can take a screen shot, it is only there for a fraction of a second, and in that game whenever you are shooting you can't afford to spend a second to take a screenshot.

It is Zion in the matrix. And there are a lot of different things that share similar initials. And I have never heard of a Brazilian University that is abbreviated UFGD. And as i have said: UFGD = United Forces of Global Defense, and ARGO = Allied Rebellion against Global Oppression. And that is exactly why it was originally called the Omega Device... It was originally discovered in the 1700's but deep research only began in the early 1900's. And in the year 1969 we discovered what it actually was. On the same day than Neil Armstrong first stepped upon the moon.

If there was to be a movie based on the beyond earth existence, told from the point of view of the UFGD, it would become the most epic, incredible sight filled sci-fi war movie ever.

To clear things up: Gatling railguns have much less range, cycle much faster, and are much less visually impressive. Less powerful a weapon, more of a magnetic machinegun. Due to the scale of the game, a ship going 200 m/s appears "slow."

It fires its rounds from 3,000 m/s up to around 5,800 m/s. That's certainly fast!

I looked at YouTube, but it's hard to tell what shots are of rail gun fire as the videos aren't exactly labeled as to which ones might be using rail guns. I'd have to say, from what I've seen, EVE rail guns are no more realistic than any other game or movie.

That isn't the best angle and timing, the shot has a bright flare-like shell, fallowed by a bright thick trail. This pic only shows the trails. Command & Conquer had weird coily things with lasers in them, or a swirly laser looking beam thing.

It is hard to get a look at them, because they go by so fast. And if you played it in-game, you would see better that the tracer 'artillery' style shots look more like large shells with a bright white flare on them.

Because of how well hidden it was, blanketed with an undetectable modified EM field. Timing was either coincidence, or fate. Governments have nothing to do with it, we do not wait, we take action, and we do what we must.
