Sean Decker Named New EALA GM

Sean Decker, formerly a producer who worked on C&C Renegade at Westwood and most recently was the General Manager of DICE, has been named the new General Manager of EA Los Angeles. He is taking over from Mike Verdu who has moved on on to new endeavours in the area of social gaming.

Silly people, EA know that with Modern Warfare 2 coming out, it is entirely pointless to make any other FPS games. So better to focus on other things like RTS games. Since SC2 won't be released till 2321.

Oh hohoho, that's a cool post you wrote.

 

And yes, I agree, with Modern Warfare 2 & possibly Left 4 Dead 2 coming right up, having another FPS game like Renegade 2 will be a bad move. It's just like being in the right place but at the wrong time, not to mention intense competitions, sales conflicts & difficulties. So we have to wait until these 2 games release and when their value dims down over time, then a new FPS like Renegade 2 will get the green light.

 

Other RTS should not be a problem too, especially I have no fear of SC2 when Blizzard keeps on delaying and with no actual release date given, I can already sense the impatient Korean fans in the Force. Yeap, 2321, or let's go even further, the next millennium. After all, Blizzard wants SC2 to be claimed as a so called "Ultimate Game of the Century".

With Sean now being the new GM, I hope anyone can tell him or tell Apoc to send the message to him by expanding the C&C universe with their very own CGI room. Enough with those outsourcing, it's best they have those CGI rooms not just to create jobs, but as well as to bring C&C more CGIs like Westwood did with theirs.

Sean Decker Named New EALA GM... Good or Not. Just make a game people will want to play. I don't want another EA game all hyped up and find out it sucks or has bugs up the a**. Goodluck to Sean and his staff and don't let stray from old idea of a great game.
