Sounds interesting. I just hope C&C4 won't be the last we'll see of Joe Kucan.

Well I guess we know who wins this time, seeing as Kane is immortal and this is the final game. :D

fortuantely the game isn't an MMO type game, but you'll going to have to be online at all times to play...

What kind of @#$%! stupid move is that?

Imagine, in some point in the future, EA stops with support for C&C4 and how you going to play C&C4? Another scenario: hypotheticaly, something happens to EA (shutdown, bankruptcy, etc) and then how you suppose to play C&C4?

Exactly, since when has EA been reliable with online service and dedication?

I honestly don't know what to think. Excepting for one thing: The Crawler system gives me the creeps. I don't know if it'll turn out a good thing in the end.

There is much worse scenario. Imagine, in some point in the future, EA stops with support for C&C4 and how you going to play C&C4? Another scenario: hypotheticaly, something happens to EA (shutdown, bankruptcy, etc) and then how you suppose to play C&C4? C&C community is not some MMO community, heck, it's not even multiplayer community!

Its not possible for EA to go bankrupt, they're filthy rich! All the games will be belong to them.

Anyways to answer your query, I foresee that EALA devs will promise the same support as the previous titles.

I don't see using SAGE engine as drawback. Many engine drawbacks is possible to overcome with clever design of units, terrain, buildings, etc. Many C&C3 TW mods proves that. I see logic behind that, EA probably want's that C&C4 be playable for wide variety of PC specs, even RA3 is better optimized and runs better on low-end machines. It's going to be interesting to see system requirements for C&C4 and waht version of SAGE engine use it: C&C3 (KW) upgraded version or upgraded version of RA3 engine, but I think it's going to be second.

Its the SAGE/RNA Engine I'd say. C&C4 will use an updated version of the RNA engine used for RA3.

Anyway, I love the art direction, the early details in the press release. Is it just GDI and Nod? I really hope so. I'm just happy to have a new game in the franchise again.

C&C4 - Bring it on!!!!

Now to all the haters who **** all over the game so early without knowing anything.... leave!

Well, amanos, looks like I'll comment one by one.

Concept art & units, booyah! The future is even bigger than I ever expected.

Storyline, yeap, I got the feeling Kane is getting more worried than ever when Earth is consuming up slowly and slowly until the nightmare is taking its toll on him. If Earth dies completely with no GDI left, even Nod cannot live in there and will only be left as mutants & cyborgs, and Kane, well, being human, how can he survive further when Tiberium is all covered it up?

Gameplay, although I feel a little outdated of using the same SAGE engine, but that's fine, as long as still be able to cope with today's demands such as SC2's HAVOK engine. AND I hope it's just GDI & Nod, but there's one problem, I remember the Scrin said one day they'll come back with a much larger full scale assault, so I fear it might end up as a 3-faction game again instead of the old regular & possibly popular 2.

Sub name, simple EA, and I hope you'll take it instantly without possibly needing to host that competition. Just like back in the Westwood days, it's Tiberian Twilight! Something old & creative and yet still effective till today, "Tiberium Wars" & only "Tiberium" (For the canceled FPS)? That's wimpy. Logo wise is all cool, BUT still got to look into the boxart to ensure it's the Soldier's Head again.

Movie wise, more CGIs! Create your own CGI room and keep those outsourcing out of your heads! Reduce those celebrities, we DON'T need them just like how Westwood doesn't need them during their days. Oh, speaking of that, with C&C4 is not really Generals 2 but still back to the Tiberian series, let's go get John Cena! Possibly he'll play as a GDI commando with a name & role, and hopefully he'll be like Tanya, who has huge roles in RA2 & RA3 or Havoc from Renegade.

This is epic! The fact that they are going to bring back TS mechs feels awesome to me. It actually looks like the concept art for Tiberian Twilight from back in the days.

I dislike them moving BACK to TS tech, after they got rid of walkers so well in TW. :( Stupid walkers... >:(

Walkers pwn! deal with it! :)

The graphic engine from SC2 isn't called Havok. StarCraft 2 will just use the physics API/engine (actually it is more an API) called Havok for physics (Havok and PhysX are currently the two bigger physics APIs/engines and are "just" licensed by developers so that they can use them).

I agree, better not end up with very old technology. Similar to our world, one day we'll have Star Wars technology, flying cars, Star Destroyers, etc..

As for the units, booyah! I see Mammoth Mark IIs. :D

And I'm pretty sure old MMII fans & flamers will be happy to finally see this to happen and can put those huge MMII demands to rest. It's a dream come true.

Moreover, while analyzing the screenshot, did Nod acquired the Steel Talon's old Titan unit? If it really is the Titan I, wow, Nod are really thieves, no wonder how they created the Avatar in the first place.

And these giant mysterious walkers are really questioning me, the Crawler? Not very sure.

It looks like Mammoth MkII but it may be renamed as something, thus the concept may piss those fanatics anyway, lol.

It looks to me Nod did some magic spell to "steal" GDI units in the scene. Possibly mutant hijackers?

I am very interested in the big stuff on the left, the angle seems to remind me of the FS Kodiak's crash.

I think that in all optimism, EA has tried C&C3 and learned from it, now its their turn to make a much better game. With all the old Westwood stuff, the support of the fans, and their own newly acquired knowledge, C&C4 should be above and beyond what Tiberium Wars is. RA3 can't be subjected to this logic however, because they took that game in a completely different direction.

But with that said, this is EA we're talking about, so we can only hope for the best.

I sure hope so, bo. I also hope they put back the Tiberium creatures as well as the flora & fauna, plus the veinhole monster (As an obstacle, NOT a resource).

Yeah me too. Reminds me of the Kodiak crash mission in FS, the one with the Ion storm. One of my fav. missions :)

That's not the Kodiak or anything like it in that screen shot. Its part of the ship you can see at the top of this concept art.

I don't think so, at the heart it will still be a C&C RTS. But now it got something new, something different. And for me personally I believe its great to see some innovation in the franchise.
